Special, your previous post was very beautiful and reflects what I experienced since joining Jake and Austin's fandom. This is probably why I feel pretty philosophical about whatever life has in store for them. They might be no more one day but I'm sure some of us will find a way to still hang around and have fun together.

Can I say this pic shows Jake in one of his - if not HIS - sexiest style IMO. This reminds me a of a photo session he did back in 2005 (can't remember the mag; scarf, sort of urban style, very teasing look - no time to do any research sorry) and also the look he sports in Tom's favorite pic, you know the one with the horse... I'm not talking about clothes here (although those he wore in that mag I'm thinking about were pretty cool) but the haircut, slightly scruffy look. Ahhhhhh.... :D

Is it just the white form-fitting shirt, or is Jake bulking up, maybe to quarterback proportions? And I love the hair and scruff, a much better look than some of the others we've seen recently.
I think there are a lot of people who want a picture of them.(Some of them not for the same reason as we do)

Whoa! It is so nice to have you back, Stubborn. It feels really really good. I know we always miss other at OMG chat, mostly due to RL obligations. I hate to make comparisons, but it is very difficult to keep in touch at WFT because we have to wade through tons of useless comments. In contrast, OMG is turning out to be such a nice place to speak to each other - thanks and kudos to Special and Wicked. And OMG is all about friendship and community building, right? I think it is possible that Rendition will be delayed in the UK until the end of October so that it can have the premiere at the London Film Festival.

I have a question for whoever is lurking here. I just noticed that Rachel Griffith (Brenda extraordinaire in "Six Feet Under") is in the cast of Brothers & Sisters. Now I'm not a big TV watcher but I regularly hear that this series is great and one look at the story tells me that I'll probably like/love it.
It will be available on DVD in September over here. If you've watched it can you tell me what you think?

One thing to notice, same photo agency. So there is not a throng of paparazzi following him. There wouldn't be. Now there will be plenty of cameras on The Rock now, because the Clinton's are doing their annual vacation to the Vineyard.

I also think it's interesting that INFPhoto appearantly doesn't have the set up (Stephanie from IHJ said she can't add the photos to the gallery yet because of that and she found it a little strange) and yet these single photos do show up on commercial websites.
Just makes me think PR wanted us to know Jake is in MV, too, and the paparazzi didn't just get lucky.

I think you're right about spotting the camera, and I really do wonder who is in the car. I know it is pure speculation, but if it had been someone like Chris wouldn't he have gone in the store too? There was a story in the NYT last Sunday about what a happening place is MV in terms of fund raisers for candidates with all the celebs, etc. who are vacationing there, maybe some pap decided to check it out. I doubt this one was pr driven, and I wonder if they got photos of whoever is in the car and are trying to shop them around.

The whole full set of these photos are now on IHJ, they are dated Sunday, 8/19/07. I guess he looks pissed because MV was one of the few if not only place where he could hang out and not worry about the paps. And if he wasn't aware of the paps when he 1st entered the store than I would think that whoever was in the car (if there was anyone in the car) would have come out and caried their own water and snacks. Also these pics and the Reese pics makes me think it is PR and that their PR tipped off the paps, that would explain the not too pleased look.

Or maybe it is some delusional pap trying to get that J&R money shot. The funny thing about all of this is that feeding the Jeese wolf probably means an increase in pap stalking, so maybe my first theory above is wrong, and the pap was in Chilmark looking to get pix of Jake. Even if he wasn't aware of the paps, if Austin was with him I would think they would be careful in public. Not that there is any evidence of that. I wouldn't want to be accused of wearing lavender glasses.
2:48PM: If Chris and Jake were aware of the chatter that they created online with the Jake and his BF running a race on MV stuff that was posted on ONTD and then for some odd reason . The Gawker, then I would be a little leery of setting foot in public as well sorry to say. Jake and Chris have been vacationing there for years with their families and this is the 1st time something like that has happened (Not the speculation regarding them, online anyway) but the 1st time their privacy was invaded on MV and it wasn't by the paps this time, but just some local race coverage that some "fan" decided to have some fun with. I really feel bad for him, is there NO place he can go now??? And what the hell is INF/photo doing in MV? This pics of Jake and another set of Reese and her kids are now being posted, I bet they were finally sold after being shopped around.

And ONTD is to blame for that. As for Jake, if his sanctuary on MV has been invaded I think he has only himself to blame.

Someone above sort of hit the nail on the head regarding the paps and the Vineyard.
There have been lots of politicians stumping for cash down there this summer; Howard Dean as recently as last week. And where the politicians go on the Vineyard the celebs are sure to follow.
The paps care nothing about the politicians, but one of them has been savvy enough to figure out that most of the celeb money is in Chilmark. And since there is exactly ONE general store/convenience store in Chilmark, doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out if you park your ass outside said ONE general store long enough in Chilmark you'll see some celeb of note.
This particular pap probably has a whole roll of film with various vacationing celebs going in and out of the Chilmark Store.
Lucky for us, Jake made a visit.
What I need to believe in Jeese:
A picture where Jake looks at her the same good enough to eat, the same let's get out of here NOW! expression that he exudes when around Austin.
When Jake appears to be as happy and content in her presence, comfortable and safe, leaning in as if a physical connection was life's blood, as he does with Austin.
When Jake beams at her with the same silly, head over ass, can't live without smile as he does with Austin.
Then and only then will this TBer pack up and go home.
Until then, it's all just smoke and mirrors, razzle and dazzle, lies and misinformation to fool what the HW PR machine thinks is an unsupecting and gullible public.
MV has always been sold as a place that doesn't allow paps.

Reese going to MV with her kids with no connection to Jake at all would result in no pictures.
Reese going to MV with her kids at a time when she and Jake are shopping the are they/aren't they that has been going on for a ridiculous amount of time is going to result in pictures.
Jake and Reese should be HW savvy enough to know this. If they are real and still together it 2 years time, it isn't going to be the story it is today so it wouldn't matter where they went in two years time.
But Jake and Reese have brought this to themselves. Jake could have vacationed with his family as he had been and then snuck off somewhere else to see Reese for a couple of weeks.
Easy.
But then they've got a movie to promote, don't they.
I would say it is unfair to J&A because they are (presumably) doing everything they can to keep their relationship quiet. J&R are trying to get as much attention as is possible without actually being photographed together in any meaningful way, and by not giving the paps that picture there are going to be paps out there who think they can get that photo if they are just resourceful enough. Now maybe this is coming from R's camp, but Jake is going along with it. And there are probably a few paps who think J&R are real, particularly paps who may after politicians.

I think Reese really wants attention. Not saying she or her people tipped the photografers, but it wouldn`t surprise me. To me, it`s a too big of a coincidense they were papped on M.V just a few days apart.
Jake may have been a part of it(if it was for P.R), or not. He`s an actor. He may have spotted the photografs and thought:" oh, why not, i will pretend to be sorry", or he wasn`t acting at all(you know, some people drag their work all the way home, and much, much further). He might be a part of it, but, at least yet...not too active. I think he`s partly responsible for the "media-pairing of him &Reese", though.

Jan, I can't help but nod to this as Jake is the first celeb I've been following like this in my entire life, LOL! I've learned tons of things about the wonderful world of gossip and gossipers since I became a member of JG's fandom.
When I got the Internet in my home for the first time, some ten years ago or so, the first thing I did was to enter "Ralph Fiennes" in Alta Vista (older Net surfers will know about this glorious-but-now-extinct search engine). But even after many searches, there was no way I could find so much info as popped up when I first googled "Jake Gyllenhaal". And I'm sure this had nothing to do with one being a classically-trained thespian and the other an HW child. The times they are sure changing and Jake's star rose when online gossip was fully grown and had become part of everyday life.
So yeah, I believe he and Reese knew damn well they would be papped while "on the Rock".
The bright side of all this. Rendition is coming, Rendition is coming!!!
