Yeah, I had never heard this version either, and like it better than Marilyn Monroe's - and you can add Marilyn to your list as bisexual as well - she had substantiated affairs with Joan Crawford and Brigitte Bardot, and likely ones with her drama coach Natasha Lytess (with whom she lived for years) and Lily St. Cyr - and what's more, the famous incident where DiMaggio and Sinatra tried to break down her door was because Marilyn was hiding a female, not a male, lover.

I kinda miss Austin. Anyone know whether he will eventually turn up in FNL, or when he starts filming The Informers. I haven't seen a new picture of him since the mugshot.
Max, we had several post-mugshot photos of Austin at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in the middle of September. You can find them in the archives here and also on Austin Media.
Austin is scheduled to show up on FNL in November (exact dates not known - could be as early as this Friday). He'll be playing the role of one of Julia's teachers.
We haven't heard anything about his role in Informers so the guess is that he'll be filming in Uruguay or Argentina in November and/or December.

Two things about the TMZ video.
One I find it interesting that Reese does all the touching in the video. Jake either has something in his hands or they are down at his sides. It is almost like a mother and little kid. Even the way she rubs his shoulder. Like mom does to her little kids.
I do have one major bone to pick. And it's a biggie! Reese is wearing a Red Sox hat. Now that is fightin' words.

I am more and more convinced that this is a cover up for Ted's story rather than a useless movie stunt. The timing and urgency of it is too coincidental, so is the disappearance of those videos. In anycase, the passion is nowhere to be seen, got to be kidding.

I think is the biggest misstep Jake has ever made in his career. And his management should be held accountable for this ill advisement.
There is something big that must be covered up. You do not go this long without being seen with anyone and then go do this.
Again if you need to cover up something big, you have to go big. I do think this totally engineered by their management, but I think Evelyn has really made a mistake in this move.
The harder they try and convince there is something there, the louder the whispers become that there is nothing and only increase the chatter about Jake's orientation.
I still think he is with Austin, there are no doubts in my mind. Management would not work this hard if there is nothing going on.

I think it is most telling the lack of involvement from Jake at all. The only time you really see him do anything is look to see if the cameras are there to "catch" them.

I've been following Lainey for long time and two comments.
She has been very persistant from the beginning of the Toothy saga that TT is not Jake and that Jake is not gay. She won't change her opinion now that there seems to be evidence to back up her theory but I'm reading that even she thinks Reek a bit too convenient and the acting is terrible.
Also FNL is Lainey's absolutely favourite TV show so I hope she makes a comment on Austin once he appears on it.

This crap really reminds me of the Toothy Tile saga when it was in full gear--two years ago, when Ted talked about Toothy's public girlfriend with whom he was seen canoodling all over the place--and the secret bf he was boffing in parking lots, restaurants, etc. The only thing though is that I never thought Jake's PDA with Kirsten at that time looked fake or that they were doing it for the cameras. But this stuff is odd for both of them-_Reese is NOT the PDA type and I thought Jake didn't want a media circus type of relationship like he had with Kirsten. Something is up.

Reese is the spokesperson for Avon. She just signed a contract with them and filmed her first commercial for them. They are a very conservative company and part of her appeal to them no doubt has to do with the homespun values she represents to them. I'm quite sure there was a morals clause attached to her Avon contract and if she violates it, her contract will be cancelled (that's a whole lot of moolah which I'm SURE she wants). So I don't think we'll see a pregnancy soon--at least not an unwed one.

I was thinking about Jake and his comment about finding the right woman to have kids etc. Maybe that's what he thinks, Reese can be a good mother. Maybe in his mind the mother for your kids does not necessarly equate the person you have strong love/sex bond with. Maybe some love and respect is good enough. In that interview he also said he was going to do it his way, implying not very traditional way. Maybe he thinks he can marry the mother of his children and love someone else (especially if that someone else cannot be the 'mother' in the traditional sense)

On this site from Uruguay, it says that they are waiting for the arrival of Austin in the next following days to film Informers. Mickey Rourke is also expected to be there. The director already arrived last Monday.
They will film mostly interiors in Montevideo, then between November 20 and December 6 they will film exteriors in Punta del Este and later two days in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I just read a very interesting POV about Reeke on Jake's thread at FCC.
A poster who has experience in journalism thinks it's possible Jake and Reese are doing it for the press. A sort of pay-back for all the publicity and visibility the rags gave them. Also, the mainstream press was in great danger or looking like fools if Jeese never materialized. And since these mags and actors work hand-in-hand...
Lainey is one of the biggest proponents of Jake is straight and not Toothy Tile. And even she seems to think this Jeese thing is over the top and an attempt to get publicity.

Interesting frenchy, although I still think it has to do with Ted's story given the timing. And if there's anything else driving it, I would still think it is tied up with work. After all, Jake went from one project in 18 months that at the end of the day wasn't a big role to two and possibly three movies.

I don't want OMG to become a beat down on Jake. I know there is a lot of disappointment and frustration, but we need to still find some respect for Jake and for Austin. And for what they have.
Yes I do think this is a misstep on Jake's part but there has to be a very big reason for him to risk so much with this move. He knows that he is risking much in terms of fans in doing this.
I thought about this a bit at church tonight.
There must be something very important, something so important and so cherished that Jake would agree to go along with charade after all these years of not playing the game.
No I do not think it is his career that is driving this. I do think he is under tremendous pressure from those around him, his management, the studios,to play along -- and they may play the career card, but I think they are playing a much more personal card as the trump.
I do think that he is willing to sacrifice for something. And that something must be very very important. It could be his relationship with Austin, it could be a family that they are starting. I can see him making that sacrifice for that. To protect the what is most important.
This may be a tough time for many, I hope that we all remind ourselves to take it in, take a deep breath and step back to think through what we are seeing, and make respective and well thought commentary.
Many times we are reacting first and thinking later. I am the first to admit it.
Emotions are good things even when they are anger, frustration and despair - they show that there is still emotion and feeling. We still care about Jake and Austin. And it's ok to voice frustration, but remember there are good things about them too.
I am striving to find two good things for every negative that comes up. That may be a challenge but it is one that I am going to strive for.

Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, who participated in the film adaptation, the film will begin filming on November 6th in Montevideo and Punta del Este (140 km east of the capital of Uruguay).
Jordan (Ned Kelly, 2004, starring Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom) arrived on Monday to start the preliminary work before filming, which will be ‘manly interiors’. However, in Punta del Este, where they will film from November 20th until December 6th, there will be exteriors, production sources said.
Also, there will be two days filming on location in Buenos Aires.
Mickey Rourke (who already worked with Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 weeks) and Austin Nichols (The day after tomorrow) are expected to arrive in the following days.Oscar winners Kim Basinger and Billy Bob Thornton, and two times nominated Winona Ryder will not film in Uruguay.
The story is set in Los Angeles. In spite of being filmed on location in Uruguay, it is supposed to be Los Angeles, Malibu and Hawaii.
The seven interconnected stories of ‘The Informers’ – a novel published in 1995 and its Spanish title is ‘Los confidentes’ – takes place within a week in 1983 and describes a life of luxury and decadence, in which the main concern is not the characters but a self gratifying lifestyle dominated by vice and sex.
The local production company from Uruguay ‘Miggel y Sun’ employed 120 people including the technical team. It is estimated that a thousand extras will participate in several scenes including a staged rock concert.
Almost every story of The Informers was written between 1980 and 1983 and recreates the environment of the time, full of luxury and decadence and typical of writer Bret Easton Ellis. It is a tale similar to ‘Short Cuts’ (Robert Altman,1993) or ‘Crash’ (Paul Haggis, 2004). There is not a main character but a representation of a lifestyle: night, vice, sex, new drugs to experiment and music to numb existence. There are executives, rock stars, dysfunctional families, a kidnaper and even a vampire. Everything happens in one week. There are seven interconnected stories with characters who seek only self-gratification.
The film director, Gregor Jordan (Buffalo soldiers, 2001) recently supervised pre production in Montevideo. As the main scenes will take place in interiors, it was not necessary to adapt buildings. Except for one specially required stage that was the reason the production chose to film for two extra days in Buenos Aires.

Austin is going away for what appears to be an extended stay. Thinking that has contributed to Jake's foul mood witnessed in the recent pictures. Not only will he be forced to endure more showmance PR, he will be doing it without having Austin to come home to.

I noticed that at one point Ted also refers to "tooth", not toothy. Still think there is something to the In Style question. A private joke between them. Actors routinely vary emphasis on words to play with the line reading, so second nature to them. Who gets a tooth at 14?

Great song for the love-lorn or heart-broken - though I have no idea whether Reese, Jake or Austin is broken-hearted. Jake ain't looking deliriously happy, we haven't seen Austin, and Reese seems fine. Who knows what the hell is going on. I'm not sure Ted does either, though I still believe his Jaustin sighting in NY.
