But today is a bigger day than Thanksgiving in the great state of Texas. One word Football. And today is Game Day. Cowboys vs.The Jets - please that was yesterday. Today is - Texas vs. Texas A&M. While the rivalry is not as hyped as it once was, and maybe because the UT - Oklahoma game has overshadowed the A&M game in the past few years, today is all about braggin' rights, and that some big braggin' when you're talking Texas.
You know where Austin is heart is. Longhorn through and through and it looks like Jake feels the same. Sure bet is they both will be watching the game. So boys, here's to BBQ and Shiner Beers - if you guys need to get a little Hollywood, go on down to Sprinkles and get those cupcakes with the Longhorn logo on them. Today in my Google alerts for Jake there were numerous alerts from different websites with the story of Reese rejecting Jake's marriage proposal. So looks like that story is really making the rounds.
I heard the story on a norwegian radio-channel yesterday. When it comes to the story about the ring she might be wearing i had a little laugh. Here we have been wondering about the ring Austin is wearing around his neck, and voila, the story about Reese. I`m not saying it`s bullshit though. Jake might have given her a friendship ring.
Why is the rejected proposal story only emerging now? Are we supposed to think that the reason Jake was miserable in Rome was that he was sulking after the rejection?
Good question, gc. I wonder about that too. What you said might be the reason, but i also wonder if it`s got something to do with making Reese look like the perfect mother again, after there have been some negative comments about her as a mother on the internet.

Perhaps, NG, but it still doesn't jive with a mom who would take her kids cross country to spend the weekend with her BF's family, bring the BF along on trick-or-treating, have BF's sister buy presents for them, has her BF spend many nights over at the house, have Thanksgiving dinner with the BF's family, have a romantic day and a half away with the BF plastered all over the internet, etc.
And if I remember correctly, Reese introduced Jake to her children all the way back in April or May. And she wasn't even divorced yet. Of course, they probably already knew Jake considering he was a friend of their father's.
The hole that Evelyn and Company have dug for themselves with this sham is too deep now, no amount of spin or back pedaling will save anyone's reputation.

I wonder why the proposal stories revolve around Rome, and not say S.F. Doesn't quite fit in with the whirlwind charade that followed. Maybe it is just as simple as pr trying to make it look real and not thinking it through.
Reese carefully monitors what is said about her. She always has. When the "bad mother" comments start to get noisy especially on places like Popsugar or JustJared that are usually inhabited by those who drank the "Reese is a FANTASTIC mother" koolaide there are instant pictures of her with the kids. The photoshoot of her with Deacon on the beach recently was disgustingly planned and executed. She has certain bloggers plugged in to help spread specific messages (she's cute! she's a dedicated mom! Ryan is worthless! But she tried!) and feeds certain ones like Lainey exclusive sightings and facts. This woman knows no shame. She is ruthless. She is the female Tom Cuise. I actually feel sorry for Jake. For reasons only he can understand he has entered into something that and if there has to be a winner and a loser bet all your money that Reese will win.
His/her PR may not have had a thing to do with all this.
I just read a piece of gossip about some other celeb. He refuted it on his blog saying 1) never happened and 2) it looked like it was a plug to get a brand into a gossip item.

Where was she? A source tells me she spent Thanksgiving yesterday at her uncle’s in Brentwood, TN– at one point seen running through the leaves outside with her children. Cute! And no Jakey in sight.
But I’m sure you know now about their romantic getaway to Napa recently and while they were spotted by paps for about an hour one day, the two spent the rest of their time relatively undisturbed. No cameras, just civilians. And were still affectionate and romantic.
They are definitely media players. But they are also legitimately together. And he is absolutely not gay. Trust.

So the next step was the daily display of love. In the car, on the beach, hanging out at cool Hollywood parties.
And yet still the world scoffed...
So LITERALLY on messsageboards people were asked "what would it take for you to believe"?
The world said "maybe if I saw Jake with the kids I would believe".
Nanci and Evelyn really had to put their heads together because it would need to be really not stagey...hmmm....I could almost see Nanci twirling her hair thinking:

I really don't know Jake and I haven't encountered him. I don't know if he is bi or gay but I did ask some friends who are spending the Holidays in NYC to do a little real digging for me.
I have encountered Miss Witherspoon and lived but not to tell about it.
It really is too easy to trace stories. There is an actress for example who is not very popular but is in a recently released movie that is getting a lot of press. She worked in theater in the past and once threw food at my friend. Seriously picked up a plate of food brought to her back stage said "I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS" and threw it at her. I would love to post her name but everyone would know who told the story (unless she constantly throws plates of food). Any way it's not Reese but you get the idea.

Reeke's PR doesn't know when to leave well enough alone. It seems as though each new story/photo of Reeke is a response to the most recent internet rumblings. Everything just seems staged and reactive at this point. This "relationship" was more believable when we had no real evidence of it.

I tend to agree with Liz, as I said earlier many people are taking this way too seriously and analizing every one single item in this thing. Just sulking along and throwing stuff at Jake or Reese won't really help. And snapping at someone else telling them they are delusional about their superiority for just saying their opinion makes it really look like you have an inferiority issue. You know there is always the option of stop following Jake's 24x7 moves if you don't like them and move on inot something more rewarding for you.

The whole Reeke debacle has become something of a spectator sport anyway, you could almost take bets on when the happy photos of Reese and Jake frollicking in the autumn leaves will appear and which low grade tabloid is going to push them this time.
Although its not fun seeing an actor you like basically lose his credibility through a series of badly staged photo ops, it is mawkishly compulsive.
