Omg Special, the captions are perfect. Great post. LOVE IT. He had his phone didn't he, and so many people [ok certain ones] thought he was smiling at Reese when he prbly was smiling at whoever was on the phone. Good catch!
Awwwww poor baby - it really does look like his ankle is damaged, resting it on a towel and everything . . . great song and great post! I hadn't looked at these pics closely enough to see the phone and the ankle.
Well he obviously is smiling and talking to Reese in the pictures that she appears in. You can smile and talk to someone your not in love with.
But it's not THE smile.
Anyway this is the first time I've seen these pictures. Her outfit immediately reminded me of that bathing suit Michelle Williams was wearing when she and Heath went on their one fingered vacation a couple of years back.

^^Yes! I heard a couple of songs from it recently on the way home from work - "Supernatural Superserious" (I didn't realize it was new REM!) and "Living Well is the Best Revenge". I've always loved them. :) And Yay for Austin!

GLAAD has a link to contact the Tonight Show at the bottom of the page. I didn't realize that Ryan actually said, This may be my last visit," when on the show. I'm really impressed with how he handled it. GLAAD also commends him.

Speaking of airport pictures, there was a story in yesterday's Wall Street Journal about celebrities flying and all the efforts airlines and some of the big airports like LAX are taking to protect their privacy. It talked about how it isn't always possible to completely shield people, take them out the back way, etc. because of security, but it pointed out that celebrities if usually do go through the short first class line. In some cases they can get around some of that, and they cited someone (can't remember who) whose children British Airways took out the back while mom dealt with a customs line. The article also said that extra security can be provided to keep away the paps. It acknowledged that paps do have sources when it comes to knowing when celebrities will be there, but it went on to say that (as we all know) a lot of it was the celebritie's publicist alerting paps. I don't have time right now to look for a link, and many WSJ articles are only available if you pay for internet access.
Just proves once again this was all staged, especially the children.

Just read that article that Destiny suggested. Thanks Destiny! It makes it very clear that the airports really try to get kids through the paparazzi so they don't have to be caught in the crush. And that the airport will provide security to help celebs get through if a pap frenzy happens.
Will is resting his ankle, while Grace, looking flabbier and shabbier than usual, is there for emotional support and ice cream. I'm sure that beach chair gave Will a great view of the ocean ... and the other boys.

If celebrities' kids are travelling with nannies and other helpers, then there's nothing to stop those people (or the airport staff) walking the kids some way ahead or behind to avoid the attention. It's mean to expose them to attention in order to put on a show, IMO.

The paparazzi problem at LAX has gotten really bad lately. Security can clear the airport but they can't clear the sidewalk out front as easily. I can't bring myself to believe that Reese had another option and decided to walk the kids through that mess to call attention to her relationship. Plenty of pictures had been taken in Cabo she didn't need to do that.
I am going to choose to think that there was just no other way to the car and that the nanny took a separate flight and that she had no idea it was going to be that bad. She isn't above arranging a well placed photo but that was clearly a scary situation.
Maybe she did but I don't want to think it's gotten that bad.
Meanwhile Ryan was on Kimmel last night. It was pretty funny. He had just gotten back from seeing "friends" in London. I can only think of one friend who happens to be in London at the moment and it is his second week long trip there in the past month.

In every other set of airport pics the Nanny is with the group and the Nanny has the kids and Reese is a casual guest in her own parenthood. But voila!! coming back from the 'family-romantic getaway' vacation the Nanny and everyone else in the group, except for Jake of course because he's the main accessory along with the kids, is nowhere to be found in any of the pics. Reese acts like the Mighty Protector of Children with her new bf [who she has just found love again with] on crutches and helpless at her side. Not only is she protecting her children against the evil paps but she's also nursing her bf back to health. What a wonderful woman. Excuse me while I go throw up.

Yes, 'together' is the operative word, isn't it? Sort of like Will and Grace were together? You know, a straight woman and her gay boyfriend, cavorting along, shopping, holding hands, kissing chastely on the lips or cheek? Yes, they are indeed together in that sense. Just walk through Chelsea, West Hollywood, P-Town or Dupont Circle, and you'll see lots of straight women and their gay boyfriends together. 'Together' in a way that doesn't require words; pictures will do. If Will and Grace are famous, the pictures might be staged, but the message will consist primarily of pictures.

I'd put it at 97%, but the remaining 3% is probably extremely important to Jake emotionally. I really believe that his emotional life is a mess right now. This charade could have been *so* much worse.

I have to go with Bad Seed on this one. While I don't think she totally expected the chaos that she walked into I definately think she knew there would be SOME paps at the airport. She's well experienced with the paps and so is Jake for that matter. I'm sure she could have done better with that situation if she had wanted to. I also found it strange that the nanny wasn't there although it was obvious that she was there the whole trip. Why would the nanny take a separate flight??
Oh and Reeses Lovenest was on E-news tonight with pics of the spread from all angles. So much for the private getaway for the private couple.

Not only don't we see the nanny, but the male friend we saw in Cabo. There is no reason to think they didn't take the same flight back. And if they really wanted to avoid all this, all they had to do was separate Jake from everyone else, or separate the kids from Reeke. But that would ruin the message they were trying to get out.
I guess we can add 1000 points to Reese's tally in the race for worst HW mother of the year.

I am thrilled that Ryan did what he did did on Leno. He certainly doesn't look like the bad guy everyone tries to make him out to be. Plus I am thrilled Leno was forced to apologise.. Hooray for GLAAD also. It is great that the gay community has a respected voice right now to speak for them.

Ent Lawyer had a BI today about a normally nice B+ film actor from famous family having a bad day and honking and shouting at a handicapped driver who was having a hard time parking at a grocery store and holding up traffic. 2 commeneters guessed Jake. LOL. I don't think/know if it was him but the description fits; normally nice, B+ film actor [B+ would be excellent talent, Oscar nommed but not won] from a famous family. It would be kind of funny, sort of [not to the other driver of course] IF it was Jake having a bad day, esp after you read what he bought. Maybe he was trying to get geared up for another date with Reese? LOL
