Charmed I'm sure

One more new One Tree Hill, before a long winter's nap of repeats.

Tonight Julian stirs the pot even more with Lucas, Peyton and Sophia. Can this boy stay out of trouble? Doubt it. It's not like trouble finds Julian, its more that Julian makes the trouble. And don't think its just Peyton and Sophia, Julian and ... Sam? Birds of a feather could we say? That leaves just Haley, Mili, and wild intern Gigi. Julian is gonna have to hook up with somebody. And come on if you have to watch OTH and see Van der Beek without a shirt, you deserve to catch a glimpse of Austin his preferred modus operandi on screen.

For all Julian's smariness and not so innocent intentions, there's one thing about this role that is great, beside showing more people Austin needs more screen time. It really show how much of a natural charmer he is. Jake might have flashed grinned and given those eyes, but come on, who charmed who there? I suspect that its not only the ladies that fall for that Texas charm.

OTH News: James Van Der Beek shows up tonight as the director Julian wants for bring The Ravens to screen. It won't be the last we see of the Beek, he's signed up for two more episodes.

And a little audio spoiler for tonight. Have fun.

Poignant article/interview with Michelle in Newsweek.
Michelle Williams Tries to Move On
Have heard great things about her performance in "Wendy and Lucy", she's has come a long way from The Creek.

My favorite thing about Jake and Austin is that they are so evenly matched. Equally good looking, charming, talented, killer eyes and smiles. Each in their own way, but equals. Charm quotients in the mega millions.

So far the 4xmas reviews are not just bad, they are scathingly bad. As close to calling something dreck as you can get. I'm curious to see what the E on line folks have to say.

I think that is one reason that they've been together so long. While in HW they are at different levels. Together in their lives they are equals.

Totally agree M and Special.

There's a lead story today in the Life section of USA Today about the timing of the release of the Harvey Milk movie. Pretty interesting - gives some historical background for uninformed types like myself.

Popping in for a couple of minutes - hopefully I remember to set the VCR for OTH tonight. Tonight is the finals of DWTS so I'm afraid I'll be torn on this one. But then, class is also tonight, so nothing is going to get watched live, lol!! What in the heck am I thinking.

I meant to say yesterday that I had not heard that song before by the Waitresses. I always liked that song "I Know What Boys Like". lol, gosh, that was the strangest but catchiest song. I know what boys like, I know what guys want... I think that's how it goes. Been a long time since I heard that one.

Clarity, thanks for looking! It was fun.

I knew that the UK didn't have a Thanksgiving, but I guess I don't really think about how tight these studios run. No Days Off For YOU!! lol

Well, gonna get off now. Too many lurkers around here; even though I am on my lunch hour. Everyone & their mother is up here, lol. Once I was on here and the 2nd shift whse super was standing near my desk; he saw your avatar, Destiny, and he said "Who's that?" Geeesh.

I always live in fear of someone walking in my office and seeing OMG up, so I always turn the screen sideways when I hop on the internet. Then there are those times when I just reduce the page and then forget about it when I get called away to do something else--one of these days someone is going to come looking for something and find it.

Thanks OTH News - Julian Julian Julian.

Love that they made Julian a such a dick and he knows it and it doesn't stop him in the least.

Sounds like Austin has done well coming into the cast. Wonder if what they'll do with Julian.

Still thinking about if Schwann will think of him for Melrose Place - wanna bet Darren Star would be a go, for it?

Posted on WFT2:

Here's an article in today's chicagotribune.com about why there are no out leading men in Hollywood (with quotes from Ted and references to Toothy Tile):

Chicago Tribune

Special K said...

Interesting article in the Chicago Trib. It makes you wonder just how close he was to coming out, and how it all went down with his managers. Can you imagine how tight they screwed the screws to them.

Anonymous said...

And now he's trapped. He has to play straight so everyone else around him can make money.

I am thrilled to see this Chicago Tribune article. This is going to be read by a lot of people. It is time that the name Toothy Tile is seen other places besides Eonline, OMG, and WFT2. PR cannot be happy about about this. I hope that many other big time websites and even newspapers start talking about Toothy Tile. Again I love this. It is time.

The long time posters here must feel somewhat vindicated by this article. Especially after being berated by trolls who tell you that no one cares what Ted Casablanca writes and that he is over and "insiders" know he makes things up. People care very much what he writes and they carefully orchestrate a counterpoint to each of his points. It is like a chess game.

I was actually surprised to see Reese give interviews on E! recently although her mood was much chillier to the E! reporter in comparison to the ET reporter. E! offsets Ted by having Seacrest and his merry band suck up to Reese and Jake whenever the opportunity presents itself. Although they were both dropped from the E! News opening montage which means in Seacrest's opinion they are no longer hot.

This was a great article hopefully people will start to get that they can't judge actors by the same middle American standards that apply to their own sex lives, hell half the entertainment industry has slept with the same sex.

Tom, I totally agree. It's totally striking to see "Toothy Tile" mentioned in a major paper like the Chicago Tribune. I had to second & triple glance at it, lol.
It was a very interesting article and really kind of sad, in a human way. The comments below the article were interesting, too.

And even though I get irritated & frustrated, I keep reading how Jake was so close to coming out and so it strikes me that somehow his thinking, his mind got totally changed around at some point. And even though he, at times, seems to almost delight in partaking in the deceit & paparazzi playing of Reeke as it is, I wonder how he really felt a year ago at this time when all of this seemed to go down. How close was he, as Special said. And what was said to totally change his mind. Because maybe he really didn't like hiding around; didn't see the need to hide who he was. But something said by someone really pounded a different tune into his head. Maybe?

Wow, did we get out of class late. I have to get to bed. This is a short week for us and alot of cra-er, stuff to get out the dock doors. Is everybody in the States getting ready for one or two days off?

How was OTH tonight? I have it taped & will start watching it while I do my little 3 & 5 lb'ers, lol! A lift here, a tilt there, a swing here, a groan & a moan there. Lol!

Sweet dreams, everyone!

I haven't had a chance to read the article yet, makes me sad just reading the comments. Good point TR about people caring about Ted, I wouldn't have thought of that.

I did watch OTH tonight, Austin is sooo gorgeous in this episode. Still not enough of him though.

I think when BBM lost at the academy awards, he was persuaded to change his mind about coming out and when Zodiac & Rendition tanked, he went deeper into the closet and ended up bearding.
Just for the record I don't believe that J & A broke up at Laker's 2. I think he was told he had to break up or that he was not to be seen with Austin again. He went to NY at the time but was back in LA for Austin's b'day, which I think was quite interesting.
I also think Jake is gay (not bi) and Kirsten was his first beard. I know I have said that often enough, but never mind :)

Anonymous said...

It's kind of ironic that we just watched a movie where a character puts his true nature on hold for the benefit of others. Basically what Jake is doing. At least in the movie, it was for the sake of a child, not for managers, pr people, and money grabbers.

destiny said...

I suspect Ted may be simplifying things a bit; it may not just be about money, but about getting leading man roles. As much as I'd love to see J&A come out, I understand how difficult it would be to do something like that, especially if you're the first one.

Still doesn't explain or justify the bearding, or trying to make people think Reese's kids are somehow like family to him while hiding Baby Tile.

Anonymous said...

I also think Jake is gay (not bi) and Kirsten was his first beard.

flf I disagree. Many now-gay guys were with women before. Very very few have not been with any women ever. They have to see which works for them. I've been there, it isn't easy but the answer reveals itself in time. I think Jake was with Kirsten and loved her and had sex with her but he was pulled more to Austin and to loving and being with a man. Jake's past relationship with Kirsten doesn't make her a beard.

Anonymous said...

I think the bearding was to straighten Jake's image in a hurry for PoP. Before Reese he was very gay friendly. Combine that with the fact that he is gay and projects in HW probably died down pretty fast. Not to mention that his movies were not very successful at the time.
As for BT, I think he ( or she) will be raised away from any publicity. You have only to look at Austin to know that if you want to be private in HW you can be. Jake too when it suits him. So I don't think BT will know that he is being hidden till he's older. How Jake is going to explain the mess at that time, I think will be very interesting to see....

Jake being step dad to Reese's kids is just part of the credibility game. I think looking at Deacon's reaction to Jake, it's painfully obvious that Jake's pretty much a stranger to him.

Anonymous said...

Well, "not so fast" we'll have to agree to disagree. :)

Which temple does Austin have a large freckle/mark on? In the legwrap pic it shows it on his right [left side of pic]. In OTH tonight its on his left and other pics I looked at its on his left. Jake has a horizontal scar on his right leg and some freckles [I looked at a lot of pics believe me LOL]. The legwrap pic shows a scar on the left leg. I'm pretty sure the legwrap pic was "flipped" [everything is on opposite sides.] because of Austin's temple and those are definately Jake's legs because the scar and the freckle pattern matches.

I thought that I would tell you that I was called in yesterday to
help sew a rush order. I guess it
will be just for a few days but I
will really be happy with that. I
read the Parade interview with Reese and she just said she had high hopes for love! Sometimes I
think Toothy Tile is bisexual. I
just hope that Jake does what makes him happy. If I do not post
for the next two days, have a great Thanksgiving!!

I thought it was cute on OTH when Sophia Bush's character says to Austin(Julian) "I bet that smile got you into plenty of beds" cause you just know that's what got him into Jake's bed.

The Chicago Tribune article is interesting but anyone else think the second comment by Jeff is our Jeff - Reese's number 1 fan?

Anonymous said...

Looks like it.

Yeah funny how this Jeff disagrees with a professional Chicago Trib journalist who did research. Did he read it? He makes a opposite statement. What a tool.

OTH does love to play the inside joke. Interesting that the names the guy in Sam's room is Jack Daniels. And Brooke's rant: "Brooke: You expect me to believe that someone named after the white trash rock band drink of choice stayed in your room for the night and nothing happened?"

Julian saying "Bourbon is a good honest drink. Classier than whiskey, less of a stick up its ass than scotch" -

What else would you do if your one of guest stars is named Austin Nichols as in Austin Nichols Wild Turkey. And yup it's a bourbon.

Austin does a little John - when he gives Brooke back her little speech.

Yeah he is a dick. But is there a little bit of "with a heart of gold" in Julian, when he went looking for Sam?

Have to say it - loved the fabulous

Kudo's to wardrobe for finding jackets that work for Austin's long arm syndrome. : )

Anonymous said...

Wow, I thought Austin looked great last night - I love it when he gets all business-like, focused or seriously profesional about his work, I can't describe the quality I see, but I like it. A man who usually gets what he wants. I wonder if that will include Brooke?

I love today's song! I didn't know STP had a version of it. I have to admit it's a guilty pleasure of mine, especially the original by Def Leppard! ;)

I'm worried now about Peyton and poor Sam - I think Sam had a breakthrough of sorts, I hope she's going to be ok. I like when Julian shows his heart of gold too. :)
