TimberJake Throwdown?

This TimberJake thing is getting out of hand.

It started off small and not many noticed what was brewing.

First it was Bee Gees love.

Then it was the falsetto

And then both hanging with Jamie Fox.

Who could forget the plaid?

Then Jake really did it. He threw down a double whammy - going there on SNL in THE gown, AND working on Nailed with the girlfriend.

What else could Justin do? But strike back with Jessica in Rome this fall. With the Piggy Back

Then he saved his best till last this past weekend on SNL

When will this madness stop?

Advantage - Jake's shoes (oh you know the ones)

Don't worry - can't forget Austin.

What's he doing? Tonight looks like he's tying one on at One Tree Hill.

One Tree Hill Episode 6:11 "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me)"

Austin is a henchman for Big Dan in a 40's Noir episode written by Chad Michael Murrary (Lucas). Next week - back to the future with Julian working on preproduction and finding a director(James Van der Beek) for Lucas' book. But who will be fall for his charms? Peyton? Brooke? or will it be Milli? Ahh the dark horse that could really be the twist.

Check out our friends Austin Nichols Journal (Spooky2th) and Austin Media (Hjulia) for more Austin goodness.

I suspect you may scare Wicked again with the way your mind works Special. :-D I know I certainly didn't think of Jake watching JT on SNL.

And what can I say about OTH, except that I can't wait to see this episode and our bad boy.

The question is who has the better legs Jake or Justin?

destiny said...

I think they both have pretty good legs. Justin may have have a slight edge, but I have to give my vote to Jake for best overall artistic impression.

Performance-wise, Jake is much better at drag, but Justin (thank goodness) blew Jake out of the water in Rome.

Oh my dog - Andy Gibb!!!
Shadow Dancing! I haven't heard this one in ages. Good one, Special.

Hey, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing OTH myself tonight. Well, after I tape it, anyway. I'm lost on most of all the other stuff - I just enjoyed seeing Austin's spots. And James Van der Beek is on the one tonight - even more reason, lol.

Too much is going on this week. I'm feeling a little stressed already. I am really looking forward to my art of the Nativity tonight. We should have a couple of our class members back tonight. I hope Teach has more slides of art pictures. Did you realize that in alot of the early pictures of the Nativity scene that there is always a donkey (mule) and an ox. I had never realized that before. But now that we are looking at alot of the pictures, they are almost always in there, somewhere. Together. It's kind of funny. Course, there's symbolism involved but it's just kind of funny - it's like looking for Waldo. Are they in this one? Where are they...Oh yeah, there they are!! the donkey & the ox, lol!!

Recipe kache (what was that again?) is this week, isn't it? Oh no, I think movie review is this Friday, isn't it? I think I'm going to miss this one as I don't think I can get it watched this week.
Plus, going down to the Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend. It's the ol' annual Chicks Weekend doing nothing but shopping. All these women descend upon Osage Beach, MO, and do nothing but pile in & out of vans in droves and shop. It's Estrogen City, lol. The gift shops have their annual Holiday Open Houses. We've been doing this for probably over 20 years, having missed once, I think. It's always such a good time - there's nothing more restful than looking out at the lake.

Glad your Moroccan Chicken turned out great, Clarity. You're putting it in the recipe k., right?

One more kinda funny thought. We're all looking forward to the Recipe K. day, right? Armed with recipes? Got the printer set to start printing? Fingers primed, ready to go. Scissors out, ready to cut them down. Swapping & Sharing.
Then guess what. (fantasy warning!) REEKE SPLITS!!!
Total Bedlam! Total disruption! Recipe cutouts are flying in disarray, falling like autumn leaves onto carpets & wooden floors. Cookbooks are slapped shut, falling off of tables all over the OMG world. Everything culinary related totally forgotten. Recipe K. Day goes down the Toilet! Wouldn't that be somethin'.

lol. I know - not happening. Just a funny thought. I can't wait to see what you all cook in your kitchens - I plan to pick up some great dishes.

Everyone have a great afternoon. Excuse the loquaciousness up above - been working too hard this morning and no time to chatter at anybody. It all just came gushing out.

ET asks Reese if she's getting married

EVERYONE is in a type of relationship, friends, parents, working, bearding..ect. I like how she gets away with that one. Very Good reese.

Special K said...

PG - not to disappoint - but the Beek is on next week's One Tree Hill. This week is Austin as bad guy henchman in full 40's fashion.

Yes the Recipe Klatch is Thursday. So yeah get your recipes ready. And you know what I think most would trade break up for baking tips. But just in case, maybe we can find one or two recipes to try out on our friends and families.

The Movie discussion of Shelter is starts Friday night and run through Sat.

As for marriage, "I [had] a certain idea what I thought marriage gives," says the actress – who's now dating Jake Gyllenhaal, 27. But "sometimes it doesn't work out that way so you have to be open to whatever comes your way in life. … Love and relationships take all kinds of shapes and it's not necessarily the ones you recognize."

So, would she ever get married again? "I don't know," she says, laughing. "I don't think about it much."

Cojo: You acknowledge that you're in a relationship?

Reese: Yes, yes, yes.

Sorry, but this seems pretty definitive to me. I think Jake has sold his soul to Reeke.

Is 'favorite showmance' TT and what does it have to do with Orlando?

Dear Ted:
Please just shoot straight. Why all the hints about our favorite showmance lately? We're not feeling the heat either, but are seeing the icy cold stiff look Orlando has when called in to make his appearances. Just spill it already, please. Will this joke be over by Xmas?
—BetTina, ChrisTina,and PaTina.

Dear Homance:
Too close to call. But yes, they’ll be over sometime.

Anonymous said...

"You acknowledge that you're in a relationship?"

Reese says yes but the word "relationship" has many meanings. She's not telling what KIND of relationship she has with Jake. She's letting people interpret and assume what they want. Its not a confirmation of anything just that she she has some type of relationship with Jake. Friends, business associates, whatever. What she said is not a confirmation of a romance/sex or even bearding, only that she knows Jake.

I'm in a relationship with with OMG. We talk everyday, laugh alot, discuss movies, current events, gossip, political issues, our problems, how our day went, excange recipies and ideas. Its online but its still a relationship.

I agree wtih websters regarding what they think they're doing, but Reeke is skating on thin ice with all of this nonsense. They know very well what people usually think when they hear the word "relationship".

I'm with PG on this one--as my dad used to say, they should s**t or get off the pot.

Does it matter? Since when should we believe Reese and buy her PR image?

"You acknowledge that you're in a relationship?"

When I'm in the mood for an omelet, I have a great relationship with my spatula. When I'm in the mood for a haircut, I have a great relationship with my hair-dresser. When I have a cavity, I have a great relationship with my dentist. And whenever Will needed a woman on his arm for corporate dinners, he had a great relationship with Grace.

Ahh, we love relationships.

Huh, Orlando was supposedly up for PoP, so it's another way of pointing to Jake. Also, Orlando is rumored to be bearding too, and I think that is what Ted is referring to when he talks about Orlando's icy appearances.

prairiegirl said...

Hmm, well that film clip didn't have anything about her comment. Must have to "tune in" tonight or something to see the whole thing, I guess. Gee, too bad, I'm going to miss it.

You know, Reese would make a great politician. She talks vaguely. She doesn't use people's names when she supposedly is talking about them. She talks alot of mumbo jumbo that could apply to about anything you pull out of a hat. Said it once, I'll say it again - she reminds me exactly of former KC Chiefs coach, Marty Schottenheimer. That guy could spin an entire lecture on one answer and after he was done, you asked "Huh?" Did he answer the question? 99% of the time - no. He just said alot of big words and very vague terms in an effort to "not answer" the question directly. That interview with Cojo about made me barf.

I'll have to catch the highlight again later to see just how exactly she answers this question about Jake. See if she actually says his name. She seems to get around saying it all the time.

I'm off to my walk. Need some fresh air, lol

I hope Prop 8 is overturned. The enormous amount of money spent here because church groups want to impose their ideals on the entire population of CA, imo is a crime. Those funds could have been better spent helping the needy such as the starving in Africa. Isn't that what Christianity is about? and not trying to take away the rights of others?

As for Reese the spin goes on...nothing new. Has she ever been anything other than evasive? Hope she doesn't take to politics. We don't need another Sarah Palin. Geez!

Agree that Disney is tied up with Reese & Jake. Dinner with B, first pics on set & first PoP interview. Disney has to keep Prince Dastan straight. Interesting that Disney is so concerned about Jake's gay rumors...must be true then! LOL

Me and Daddy have a great relationship. He loves to hold me and hug and kiss and stroke me. He lets me lick him back and he doesn't care if my breath is bad that day. He makes my meals and brushes my hair and cleans my face. He takes me to the doctor, we play together and work out together. He loves to talk to me all the time and i'm a real good listener. He tells me all his problems and worries. Hes himself with me. I've seen him all ways like naked or crying or really really mad or really really sick. He does things around me that he doesn't do around other people like this really funny sound humans do, its called a burp. He does a lot sounds and body things around me that he can't do around other people. We go to the beach and parks and walk around the city. We sleep together all the time. I love lying between his legs and resting my head on his belly. Its my favorite position. Sometimes I sleep while he does other things around the house and he doesn't care if I see. Like when I see him with the other 2 legged, them taking turns cleaning each other and inspecting for ticks and rubbing each others bellies and sniffing each others butts and scratching each others itches and they whine growl and howl. Also when we go driving he's very polite. He opens the car doors for me he always lets me get in first. he's the perfect gentleman. We have a great relationship. We trust each other completely. I'm his best friend forever.

One more thing in the great TimberJake thrown down.

Justin opened restaurant. Jake talked about it.

Advantage Timberlake.

Special K said...

Reese will say whatever she wants to say. That is of no importance to me, its just her side of it. And she is playing the semantics game very well. When Jake says something publicly on the record that is clearly implicit about the relationship, which I doubt will ever happen, that's when we'll talk.

Anonymous said...

Bruckheimer is a staunch repub which might explain why Jake didnt make a statement regarding USAan election and Prop 8.

Reese/Jake in terms of "relationship" equals - what? curious comment. the implication is clearly that this is not a "love" relationship, in my view.

prairiegirl said...

I see now where that one interview came from - I didn't click on it at work. I see it now on People. I can't believe a word she says. No one in real life talks like that. Yeah, she's saying they have a relationship - she's just vague as to what kind of relationship. But like Destiny says, she is skating on the thinnest of ice. It's really irritating to see someone be manipulative in their manner of speaking. It's insulting - not to me because I don't believe it anyway. But it's insulting to those people she is trying to spin. My respect factor is really falling off the meter on her.
Jury's still out on Jake.

Liable to be more spin coming in the next 2 weeks, though.

Now I'm a believer, as well, that the timing of that PoP piece last week is no coincidence to this week of 4 Christmas's promo work. Funny how they're both on ET Tonight within 7 days of each other. Mmmmmhmmmm. Yeah.

Okay, well, off to class! Time to tuck this away. Oh shoot, gotta set the VCR for OTH.

Special K said...

Just saying it again.

PoP is wrapping in less than 3 weeks. This is only time the reporters would be on the onset junket.

It will be 18 months until it comes on screen

There will be no big media on it till Comic Com.

Another Prince of Persia game is being released on Dec 2.

They needed to get stuff out to the gamers and if you saw how many gaming websites picked up that interview know why they did an interview now.

They also need to get feed back from those gamers and fans from the glimpse they are showing them. They use the chatter when they work on the film for the next year in post production.

They need to get the PoP franchise out to tie with the release of the game and one interview before filmed finished.

18 months is very long time to have a blockbuster movie waiting to release. They needed to get some press about PoP out there before the end of the year during the big movie holiday season. The next chance they will get to advertise is during the summer blockbusters with the big lush production trailers.

100 million movie like PoP does not need 4 Christmases tie in.

From Perez:

Could the future hold a Tony or two for South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone?

The brilliant and twisted duo is working with Avenue Q co-creator Jeff Marx on a Broadway musical called Mormon Musical.

This should definitely cause lots of CONTROVERSY, especially now with all the heat on the Mormon leadership for their anti-gay rights ways.

Rehearsals start in December and it's expected to hit the Great White Way in 2009.

Also, Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson is set to star in the musical.

Yum! Yum! Yay!!!!!!!

"I play the main missionary, Elder something," says Cheyenne.

We can't wait to see this!!!

Now Matt and Trey have done the Mormon thing on screen before. Trey played an elder who achieves fame as a porn star in Orgazmo.

8:02pm, ITA but I also think that Disney is trying really hard to convince people that they are filming a movie that is going to be a blockbuster. All Disney approved interviews and previews always the movie will be a box-office blockbuster and a megahit. The rest of the web questions Jake as the prince and if he can pull it off without looking to campy or to gay. Looks like Disney is trying to implant the idea that this is a huge hit movie so by the time it comes out people will think that.
As for Reese, she comes off as being so phony. In one of her interviews that I saw while at work, they ask her about paps following her all the time and seeing herself in magazines. Her answer was that she tries to live her life and doesn't look in the bushes to see if the paps are hiding there and then says she doesn't know how the paps get all these pics of her. Thru out the interview she keeps trying to act all cute and smiley, but it just seems so forced and fake. And she also mentions how people always ask her if all she does is exercise and spend time with her kids because that what they see alot of pics of and she says she loves to exercise all the time. For someone who exercises as much as she would like people to believe, she should have a body like a supermodel, not the one she has. Sorry to be so long. The General is just so annoying. Hope her movie tanks big time.

Anonymous said...

Special, I understand what you are saying but why place PoP next to Reese and introduce Jake as "Reese's real life boyfriend"?

Also, I don't care If Reese & Jake both say " I'm crazy in love with Reese/Jake". As far as I'm concerned it's BS. Probably done cos everyone is saying that they seem unable to say anything definite about their "relationship". Let's not forget these 2 are HW products and lying in interviews is a given. What I'm surprised at is why they have been so coy for so long. Why haven't they just lied and said "oh we are in love!" Why the cat & mouse game??

Special K said...

Why - because it gets viewers, just like it is supposed to sell magazines.

Anonymous said...

100 million movie like PoP does not need 4 Christmases tie in.

Agree. But Prince Dastan needs to be straight as an arrow....IMO Disney's tie with Reese is only to maintain Jake's straight image.

Anonymous said...

Just saw the ET vid again, they CHANGED it. they don't show the beginning where he asks her about the relationship/marriage anymore. LOL

Anonymous said...

The online video was edited but the segment on ET was the same plus added stuff. Mary Hart introduces the clip by saying that she talks about Jake and Four Christmases.

Cujo asks her about when and where the marraige will take place, she says that she was already married and he says i'm talking about your current relationship and they cut to pics of Jake and Reese. He then says you are confirmung the relationship and she says yes but she isn't getting married anytime soon. Then he gives her the gifts and they cut to the movie clips.

The online videos are usally different then the one on air, i think they realized it and edited it as a teaser because they sure were promoting the clip and her relationship with Jake leading up to it.

So the on air video was the same as the online earlier. They are combining the relationship and 4 Christmases and a bit of Pop in for goos measure.

Special K said...

The clip I saw on TV showed no pictures of Reese and Jake in the clip with Cujo at all.

Anonymous said...

To me Reese's response clearly implies she is not in a romantic relationship with Jake. She is playing with the word meaning. I don't think at this point there would be a need to hide it or not being explicit about it if it was true. It would not even come to mind to say something like that (if the relationship was true). Also, didn't Ted say sometimes back that reese likes Jake but there are many meanings to 'liking' or something like that? it was in a response to a question...

Anonymous said...

It was brief footage of Jake and Reese and the Rendition premiere, I think it was Rome. If you blinked you missed it, they flashed it right after she said I was already marriedand he said i'm talking about your current relationship.

If not then then it was the teaser leading up to it byMary hart, I know i wan't seeing things.

Anyway he asked her in the clip and she gave the same answer.

Anonymous said...

The ET segment was the same as the Vogue interview. Jake and Reese would make good politicians, they both play word games. They actually think by being coy, they will create interest.

I don't get why this little game. The intro to the interview on all of the shows show pics of Reeke before they start the interview. During the interviewers commentary mentions Reeke but when they are speaking to her they never mention Jake by name. Why? What kind of BS is Are you in a relationship? If her people put mentioning Jake on the NO list, why is just mentioning a relationship OK? This stupid behavior makes me even more turned off to Jake. He's a willing party to all of this.

Couples in love are proud of each other. Hiding that you are dating ends in 8th grade. Nuff said on that "relationship".

Can't wait to see OTH, but will most likely have to wait until tomorrow to view it.

Did everyone see Obama on 60 minutes last night? It's nice to have a president one can be proud of for a change. Intelligent, articulate, thoughtful. I think the US was ready for honesty and openness, another reason why Jake woudl be even more popular out rather than bearding. HW is a day late and a dollar short.

Bo, m, Not Understanding, you all echo similar sentiments of mine. It's just irritating as all get out is what it is. Just spit it out, will ya? How come Oprah was able to just spit it out and say "dating". That's at least a little more clearcut word than "relationship". With Reese, "relationship" ranks right up there with "very supportive". Geesh. Supportive will never mean the same for me ever again, lol!

Chris, where in the heck are ya? How irritated did that play on words make you?

Well, after a couple of almost totally potentially embarrassing nodding off episodes in class, I guess I better turn in for the night. Get started on the ol' dumbbells & coreball before I hit the hay. Anybody else start nodding off @ 8:30? I guess getting up at 4 every morning will do that.

I'm still chuckling. Didn't mean to get you semi-riled up, Special.

Oooh, I just remembered I taped OTH. Also have DWTS to watch. Don't have another VCR for Prison Break. Why does everything have to be on at the same time on the same night?

Sweet dreams, everyone! Good morning to you, LondonTB - you'll be up soon, thought I'd go ahead & morning greet you.

Hi Prairie Girl. I'm here just reading evrything. Reeke is sure cutting it close aren't they. No direct quotes calling each other by name, always using broad descriptions like "relationship" and "supportive". And its always Reese being asked or talking, did you notice? Shes the one selling it all the time. Jake hasn't said anything. The only response I remember him giving ever was during Rendition autographs when pap asked if he was dating Reese and all Jake did was make a face and grimace. Not a word. I think Jake isn't pushing Reeke in interviews etc like Reese is because he and everyone knows he's a bad liar. He lets her sell it. But to me Reese is pushing the envelope with what happened on ET. I wonder if this latest double talk trick has Jake's approval. It might, but shit rolls downhill and Jake not Reese will be the one to get hit with it in the end. I noticed in the last few Reeke photo ops he's not playing along as much as he did before and he's physically distant so I wonder if he's getting wise to her.

Like M said couples are proud of each other. Reese has been divorced for a long time and Jake is single. If they were in a real romantic relationship there would be nothoing to hide or be ashamed of and there would be more sexual-type physical affection. They're like platonic friends where one of them wants everyone to think their relationship is something more.

Anonymous said...

I don't care If Reese & Jake both say " I'm crazy in love with Reese/Jake". As far as I'm concerned it's BS.

I totally agree.

From the very start Reese wanted everyone to believe that Reeke is real and that's not going to change now. The point is she's using Jake and Reeke BS to make her look good, desirable, blessed, better off without Ryan, ...

Reese is selling herself and her fake PR image, and Jake is just one of the marketing tools.
