"Jake Gyllenhaal ditched his ladylove Reese Witherspoon to hook-up with his BFF Austin Nichols to venture out for a relaxing bike ride together in the posh neighborhood of Brentwood, CA yesterday afternoon. Donning his fave pair of spandex riding shorts and his matching top, Jakey poo looked happy as can be to be out and bout with his good buddy Austin:"
See, while I cannot really accept Jake coupled up with Reese, I really have no problem seeing him out with his bromantic buddy Austin Nichols. They make a great pair … of friends … I think. While these spandex outfits would prolly look hideous on so many other folks, I think Jake and Austin (Jaustin?) know how to rock the look right. Here’s hoping that this bike-riding excursion is the first in a series of other outdoor activities that these two gents might enjoy together in the future.
Hope everyone gets their happy on, we've been waiting a long long time for these.

Jake really is looking good since Austin is back home. He always blossoms (is that the right word?) when he has Austin back at his side again.
And I'm thinking the reason that makes Jake visit the doctors office again lately also has a lot to do with him looking so serene.

PG Girl I like to take a stab at your question. First there are some things I like to say.
1. Can reeke be real? Possibly
2. Can Jake and Austin be together still? Possibly.
3. Can a couple be together for so long with no evidence that they are togeher like a picture or a sighting? Absolutely.
Now I think the reason why some people dont comment as much as they used to is 1. The chance of Jake coming out is gone. 2. The chance of Jake and Austin being an open couple is gone. 3. People don't like the fact that Jake is living a lie. I feel that these are the 3 biggest reasons.
Do people still keep hoping things will miraculously change. YEP! I know I do. Just my opinion not gospel.

Actually is that building really a medical office? Looks more like a housing tenament to me. Check out the window near the car. Thats a LA medical office.
I think Jakes clothes look big because he has stopped taking steroids.
Sports medicine, chiropractor, dentists specializing in different things (cleaning, cosmetic, gums, caps), b12 shots, immunizations, orthopedic, physical therapy, etc. Not everything is about being sick, maybe its about keeping healthy. I wish you would stop asking, Tom. Jake going to the doctors offices is a good sign, he takes care of himself. Its the ones who don't go you gotta wonder about.
That building is certainly not located in a crime free neighborhood. The windows have bars on them. I cant imagine Jake going to a Dr. in that kind of building.

I know people are gonna get mad at me here but those pics give me the creeps. I doubt Jake was in that building very long. That doesn't look like a legal parking spot.

Jakes car looks like crap. Are those dents. Plus its filthy. Where the heck has he been driving that thing.
I don't think those bars are any indication of what kind of neighborhood it is.
My grandparents house has those kind of bars on all ground-level windows and apart from being bitten by a crazy dog once (it's always the little, yappy ones!) while I was pushing by bike up the hills, nothing bad ever happened.
And I would be walking to my grandparents house all alone at ten at night if I wanted to sleep over when I was just 12 or 13 years old. My mom would have never let me do this if there was any indication of anything harmful.
dentists: 2 cleanings, 1-2 fillings/cap, 2 whitening treatments
dermatologist: at least 4x year
eyes: at least twice year (checkup, contact fittings)
prostate/men's health; at least once year
give/take optional:
orthopedic/physical therapy/massage therapy 1x week
regular sick times
psychologist 1x week
colon therapy
ENT
plastic surgeon
film work physicals
Maybe once/twice a year to a doctor is enough for you Tom but you aren't a Hollywood actor. Go to IHJ and count the med center pics, you'll see its not as much as you think it is. Stop projecting illness when it's just the usual course of an actor taking care of his health and looks.

Chances are if Austin had anything to with it, if they're living outside of HW, its north and inland, not the OC or San Diego. Jake would be a boy in a Candy Shop at those 2 places. LOL

Wow, I never realized that Austin and Brian A. G. looked so much alike. I haven't seen BAG that much for several years, really. The last I've seen him was in 90210 and that was yeeeeaaaars ago. Quite a clue by ol' Ted.
Just a couple of things about my last comment and I'll shut up about it.
1) I'm not bagging at all on other content. I'm not saying that the only reason people come here is only for Jake/Austin. This is one heckuva professional type blog. I've always been totally impressed with the music, the layout, the downloading of pictures & videos, the links, the archiving, everything. As someone who has tried to play with their own Blogger page & come up with only Playschool type content, I'm totally flabbergasted. And there've always been tons of comments from readers impressed by the daily posts & Out Spotlights. Just the fact that it's updated every single day is unreal.
2) I was doing a little transferring/unfair play myself. "e" or whatever letter was next should undoubtedly have been "weary/tired of Reeke discussion". I totally forgot & that fact hit me later. And yes, I will agree that some people have tired of Reeke discussion to the point of leaving permanently. I will say this. There have been topics that haven't interested me either or that I wasn't as passionate/knowledgeable about but I just didn't hang out during those times or comment on them. And Tom, you're right. "f" should be Believing that Jake & Reese are a real couple.
3) Northeast, I left out a very important part of what you had said back in December and that was that while you were leaning towards Reeke being real, you still had just a little doubt still and would still be here. And I also agree on the point that with alot of people, there is an expiration date of tolerance.
So, thus ends a little contemplation on the why & heretofores. I like to get down to the messy kind of stuff that makes people uncomfortable, makes people think deep inside, or admit the truth/doubts whether one wants to or not. It's the only way we learn about ourselves & what we really think. And see? There was no nastiness or namecalling. Just a few civilized comments & observations. It can be done.

Tom you ever been to BH? That building with bricks and aqua ironwork is BH, the part you see is the alley, yes the street level windows are gonna be covered in iron bars, its a dr building with meds/whatever inside. Aqua iron bars looks Bedford or Camden drive not South central LA. prostate health, colon-anal checkups, almost every gay I know gets them, doesn't wait til he's 50.

Chris I have seen that type of building style with the Bricks and aqua or green trim. The bricks do look like they are in good condition and the street looks clean.

Okay, let's see. We have dentist twice a year (although I agree with Tom in that you show me a 28 year old who goes to the dentist once a year, let alone twice, or to a doctor for an annual and I'll show you a unicorn at my park), doctor once a year, doctor again for shots to go to Morocco,...unless he has some other physical ailment, it is indeed highly unusual for a 28 year old to be seen so often at a medical building.
It must be either the same medical building he goes to all the time or one that other celebrities go to all the time as well for the paps to just happen to be there every single time he's there, no?
And because of the paps always just happening to be there hanging out so opportunistically, I'm ruling out any baby visit. For the car to be so within eyeshot of the paps, there's no way him or Austin could get away with having a baby carseat in the car.
Tom, you mentioned therapist. Seems like that could be a real possibility.
And lastly, he looks darn adorable. He looks 20 years old, I'm not kidding. The transformation between now and 2/3 months ago is mindboggling.

PG and Tom, love ya but you really got to get thinking out of that tiny everyman/everywoman box. Movie screens, TV high def, HQ pics, see every skin pore, wrinkle, tooth crevice, yellowing, jagged edge, scar, discolorment. YOU might not notice those things when you look in the mirror and those things aren't important to YOUR career but to actors they are and they have to take a lot of time to take care of them.

btw my brother has the rarest blood type and he donates blood all the time on scehedule every 45 days or whatever it is, as often as he can so he's at a med center all the time. WOW! I hardly ever talk about Jake and Austin anymore to my husband, but today i kept him forced, listening for about an hour. I told him i hate Jake`s bearding, but maybe being in an open relationship with Austin could get a lot of concequences. I am one and a half year older than Austin and i think it seems like, if he was a well-known celebrity, could get a lot of head-lines because of his love to party and so on. Maybe a little immature for his age. But that`s my opinion, and i will forget it tonight, because:Special, i admire you so much for you`r belief every single day! Its weird but many on WFT2 are saying that they are staged photos showing Austin Jakes friend in Jakes neighborhood where he lives with reese. Jake had nothing to do because reese isnt home. If this is at all true then I just think it was done to take some pressure off the guys being seen together while the bearding goes on..
Different paps though and I do think Jake looks a little shook on the phone. Probably warning someone what had just happened. I am going to bed tonight happy because at least we know J and A are friends and that we may see more of them together soon. If OTH is done filming then Austin is going to be around more. I normally am not a big fan of Spandex, but what these 2 guys have done for it has revived my thinking, lol.
Jake is in, er, extremely fit shape. I am glad to see him smiling as he riding. How long since we've seen him on a bike, Special? Are those cleats on the bottom of their shoes? Are there special riding shoes? Do they help keep your foot on the pedal? I haven't ridden a bike in ages so I know nothing about it.
Heck, my last bike had a banana seat & super looking monkey bars.
Jake's package is real nice. After I get done looking at it I'll go look at Austin's.

It's all fake. They used 2 mannikins dressed up in spandex attached to bikes and pulleys in front of a green screen and the outdoor scenery shots were done on a backlot at Universal.
More proof is was a photo op, with the exception of the"friend" remark, why file it under Jake and Reese? You know Perez recognized Austin. Just Jake riding with a friend, a PR approved photo op:

Robin Williams needing aortic valve replacement surgery. Vince Vaughn getting engaged. And the third one which actually still is a pretty big story to me.
Chris Brown getting charged with 2 different felony counts in court today. Reading the police officer's further accounts of quotes from Rihanna from that night, it's just absolutely shocking. The details will almost make you sick. I cannot believe she went back to him after that.
I just had to get that off my chest. That story is terrifying, I'm telling you.

Angelina Jolie is filming a movie very close to our downtown office. A few of my co-workers met her today. They said she was very nice and approachable and one got an autograph.
I'm not a big fan of Brangelina, but I love hearing stories like that Wicked. NIce to see stars acknowledging the fans that support them.
Brentwood is sort of half way between Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, if that helps Wicked, and not to far from Topanga Park, which is probably where they did most of their biking.
I wonder what movie that is, Wicked? That Angelina is always filming or has a movie coming out. Where does she find time to do everything she does?

Heh. Brentwood. Ride bikes in Brentwood. Jake lives in Brentwood you say. Then why does he stop at Peets Coffee in Brentwood but doesn't bring any coffee out with him? Could he have just made a quick stop there to pee, figuring if any employees asked (which they won't!) he's a regular customer anyway, with all the Reeke Brentwood photo ops he's done? And if he peed at Peets [lol] WHY? He lives a few minutes away, right? He can't hold it for the same amount of time it would take to get home in Brentwood? Instead he and Austin have to make a side trip to peepee at Peets?
Oh yeah and Austin drove. See Jake getting in the passenger side of the SUV with Jake's shirt hanging on the back of the passenger seat? Ya know usually it's an unspoken rule at least in my circles, the person who drives to someone's house leaves their car there and the other person drives. Reeke living together, don't they have that big ass Yukon? So it would figure Jake would take the Yukon and fit the bikes in there and he would drive. But no, Austin drives them. So to say Jake lives in Brentwood, with Reese, nah to that.
I'm not sure if the pics are setup. The phone call pics look odd, its a different photo agency, theres a time laspse (the Peets pic, the parking lot pic with Jake's shirt on car seat and then the actual biking pics) and I suspect different paps taking some of the pics (focus is bad on some of them, sharp on others). I dunno. But them hanging out, it was just a matter of time. Not everything is planned, remember the shots of Reese stomping off ahead of crutches-Jake and leaving him in the dust? No way she knew she was being papped then.

One thing I forgot to mention. There have been low days for WFT2 and OMG. Days when people are near despair. And it seems like when that happens the boys come through for us. Like they are sending a message to not give up hope. This sighting is a breath of fresh air, a rejuevination. It will keep me going for a long time to come.
I'm excited about the pics today but the cynic in me is waiting for the ax to drop. Whether the pics are baby steps for Jake to come out, a ploy to make himself ambiguous again, a way to pacify us before a Reeke engagement, is anyone's guess. But at least the little fuckers got some attention and online love today, never enough of that especially in the last 2 years.

Great to see these two together again. I honestly didn't believe it when I first saw the pics - thought they were old pics and checked the PINB dates a couple times before it dawned on me this was real.

The only way these pics could have been better was if Austin had thrown Jake to the ground and started kissing him passionately. I will have sweet dreams tonight.
Something interesting about the bike pics: no shots of Jake and Austin interacting outside of riding the bikes. There's 3 separate shots of Jake at Peets, walking in an open area carrying his bike and standing/walking to the car. You know the 2 of them didn't just ride bikes the whole time, they stood talking or drinking water together at some point. But the interaction of any of those moments were either not papped or more likely not released for people to see. Whoever is controlling the distribution of the pics held those back. Might be Reeke PR, might be Jake who just wants to give a taste tease to his fans but whatever reason it's interesting that those moments are not shown. However there's no mistaking the happy quiet contentment that can't be hidden on Jake's face when he's pedaling his bike 3 feet away from Austin. So really it's no wonder the standing around shots are missing, isn't it? The interaction/conversational shots are missing for good reason, and it's called chemistry. Someone doesn't want it to be seen, period.
It's great to see them together again even if I am aware it's surely PR approved!

Chemistry AND body language. I'm willing to bet Jake and Austin have less space between them, inadvertently touch each other and look in the other's eyes all the time, just like real couples do. It's how real couples communicate. Showing pics of them behaving authentically would butcher and mutilate 2 years of Reeke. Can't risk that, at least not now.

Sorry to post about Reese but this is oh so interesting on a few counts. 1> it happened at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. Isn't Reese supposed to own a house in Ojai? Why would she be staying or visiting at an Inn? 2> she still has nannies on weekends and personal time with the kids? 3> the nanny left Ava for over 2 hours unsupervised at the Inn pool.
Ava’s young friend and mother left the pool, saying that they would be back. Shortly after Deacon left the pool with his nanny. Ava was then by herself, splashing in the pool waters “bored and alone.” As a result, Ava spent over two hours completely unsupervised and alone in the pool with thankfully these two responsible onlookers watching in awe and shock over a celebrity child being left unattended.
Good Mom, yeah right.

Ojai house: It doesn't say Reese was at the Inn/spa, it says that her kids were there with the nanny, a freind of Ava's and the friends mother. It doesn't say Reese was there, they recognized Ava and Deacon called her by name. The nanny, Deacon, the girl and her Mom left the area and said they would be back, 2 hours later. Ava was left unsupervised for that time.
It took place over the MLK weekend, it sounds like the kids were in Ojai for that weekend but Reese probably wasn't and the nanny and friend/mom decided to go to a spa/inn.
Maybe Reese and Ryan should get a new nanny.
Reese owns the ranch in Ojai, it's on the record but it's just a weekend place.
