Point and Shoot

Seems like Austin is getting into the idea of being Lincoln Booth. Wonder if he's gotten bitten by the shutter bug yet. (For some subjects, that has to be a big YES YES YES). There's one kind of photograph he doesn't seem happy to see at all and that is Paparazzi photographers. If he knows they're there, the grin is gone and a I mean business stare down seems to appear. He truly defines his space and who's in it with him, with just one look. Almost to say don't even think about it asshole.

Makes you wonder what kind of pictures that Austin would take to prep for his role. Seems like Lincoln is not a pap, but you wonder if Austin would like to turn the tables and take some pictures of his "adversaries" in real life.

Such an observer of people you wonder it will be people and kind of day in the life of the city pictures.

Someone with a keen eye of art, would he take picture of things that appear artistic? And what would that be? Fading signs on the side of a building? A dirty puddle with a prism of sun reflecting in it? The beauty of a building? The curve of a door handle?

Then there's a person communes with nature whether in the water, or just lying on the grass reading in a park. Would he take pictures of a wave breaking in the morning sun? The wind bending the branches of trees? Or maybe the beauty of a hidden oasis steps from a house?

Or will he just take pictures of those smiles and grins and eyes that reflects back to him all that he gives to them.

Damn, that really did come out great, Spesh. That last pic is of the cherry blossoms in DC last year. This is what you have to look forward to, PG. :)

Austin certainly gets that "look" when he knows the paps are there, such a contrast to other photos of him. And while it's a good bet he uses the camera, I bet he's more inclined to dig out a book.

Beautiful picture of the cherry blossoms, I love that time of year. There is a beautiful grove of them near the resevoir in Central Park, and the trees are all gnarly and close to the ground. I always feel like I'm in a fairytale when I walk under them in the spring.

Wow wow wow - Austin looks great in the big picture on Spooky's. I like him in the dark dress shirt, it deepens the color of his eyes.

Looks like being home was really really good. Amazing isn't it?

Hi guys! Can't carry on too long (by the time I hit Preview 100 times, it sometimes takes me 20-30 min to do one silly comment) but I saw the cherry blossoms! They're gorgeous. I once saw a couple of short rows of apple trees in bloom and it was beautiful so I just imagine this.

Wicked, I was telling my sister about maybe going at night to see the buildings that are close together (Capital, Lincoln) and I said "the lake" and I didn't know what lake. Or the water. She acted like I was from another planet. I'm not very good with the names of things, but if I see a picture of it, I'll recognize it.

Okay, well, I'm about full of popcorn. I almost burnt it again. And it wasn't even 2/3 full. But now that I am near the bottom, I do see that I got just about 90% poppage. I think JollyTime is ripping off. Seems to me when you popped these things, they pretty much filled up the bag.

It might be a fish fry at a Catholic church tonight - will have to wait & see.

Aw, Special, don't say how good the pics are; I can't look right now! I'm dying to see. Will have to wait.

You know, I am surprised to hear the Howard K Stern & a doctor have been charged. Only because that happened a couple years ago and I thought everything was cleared up. I wonder who brought these charges? The state or something? Seems somebody ought to be held accountable whoever it was that obtained them or wrote the prescriptions. I just thought it was over & done with.

Okay, I'm really done this time. TTYL!

No lake here. Reflecting Pool, Tidal Basin, Potomac River, Anacostia River yes.

Gosh, maybe I'm just being paranoid, maybe not, but I have a horrible feeling that I may have an imitator posting blog comments under my name. Just glanced at this site

don't open if allergic to Reeke

and found a comment by a Meg, plus a rather snarky reply. Is this are 'you OMGers go posting all over the internet' or is there another Reeke sceptic Meg out there?

Who knows, well they say the imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Austin looks lovely by the way, One Tree Hill obviously has some rather keen fans.

I am sorry that I have not posted
sooner. Yesterday, I went with my
neighbor and his fiance to pick
out my vinyl flooring to go in the
kitchen and bathroom. I picked out
medium beige with sort of a diamond
design for the kitchen. I picked out a real light ivory with a really small blue flower for the
bathroom. My neighbor is supposed
to start painting Monday so wish me
luck.
Austin always looks gorgeous.
All I can say about Jake one thing
you can say his life is never dull.
I am thrilled just to know that he
did not cut Austin out of his life.
I feel terrible today. My head
has hurt all day and my nose is
running so I guess it will be a
terrible sinus infection or a cold.
I hope noone here gets anything.
Take care and have a great weekend.

Of course we knew they would reeke again. Just like we know every week poor old Kenney of South Park, Colorado is going to get killed. :-D

That happened a while back to a bunch of us, all on the same day and on the same blog. 5 or 6 of us were impersonated.

That sounds pretty, Kacie. :)

Of course Jake is still Reeking. Austin is busy filming, so what else does he have to do with his time but whore out his private life?

Except text Austin while doing it.

oh yes not the club you pick to be in, but it all will be ok.

Interesting that Jake is part of the entourage back in the pack. And yes it looks like he is getting texts from some one who really makes him grin.

Katzenberg is up front by the General, studio is pushing hard for this 3D movie to do well.

Coraline got such super reviews for their 3-D film making. There's a lot pressure for this one to compete.

I just had to share this joke I ran across, especially for those Boston sports fans.

In roughly 60 - 70 years from now:

Peyton Manning, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Colts flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, Peyton," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."
Peyton felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a red and blue sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Patriots logo flag, and in every window, a New England Patriots towel.
Peyton looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said "So what's your point Peyton?"
"Well, why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?"

God chuckled, and said "Peyton, that's not Tom's house, it's mine."

destiny said...

That is one of the strangest looking entourages I've ever seen. It's almost like Reese and Katzenberg are baby-sitting Jake, and like with any child, you wonder why they brought him along. For someone who is supposedly a mega A-list star Disney sure seems to think Reese can't sell this movie by herself.

Hell ya! LOL

I've said this before, I think Austin is very comfortable in front of a camera making art (acting), but sometimes I think in the past he was not sure about when he was in front of the camera as the art.

But over the past couple of years it looks like he is getting more comfortable with it.

Ted about Jen Aniston and John Mayer's relationship:

"...Look, we've told you before, we'll remind you now: This duo was more dunzo than Jake Gyllenhaal's interest in Brokeback Mountain 2. Like, a zillion years ago, too. And now that you're back at square one in search of a new piece of arm candy to schlep around town, Jen, take our advice and find a nice behind-the-scenes hunk who won't steal your glossy-haired thunder.
Your taste in men is almost as bad as Rihanna's, truly."

Hi everyone

Great Austin pics today , he is wonderful and seems so mature now.I know he has a special beauty which can't please everyone but I find him really beautiful with his sweet features and his weight, so tall , I adore that. lol

Oh I thought He was going to start the Lincoln thing ??? but seemingly he is come back to OTH!

Beautiful song today. :)

Love the cherry blossom pics, and of course the Austin pics.

Cute joke Dest. Let's hope there's some Red Sox banners in those windows too! :)

Thank you for the comments about the cherry blossom pic. I love taking pictures. Wicked could tell you I took tons while walking in the Tidal Basin.

Didn't know if anyone realized that the middle picture is of Austin and Wil Estes as Neal Cassady and Jack Kerouac in Luz Del Mundo. Austin is in the driver's seat. Just love the curve of the car, how shine of the chrome trim in contrast to the worn spot on the door from an arm hanging out and rubbing the paint away.

I didn't realize that! I was admiring the finish of the car tho, the worn spot.

GO SOX!!! :)

From Lisa Gerrard's record The Silver Tree. Lisa was also in the band Dead Can Dance and did the soundtrack to Whale Rider.

Spesh, that article you linked at 7:20 is unbelievable. "Corrective rape"- just unfathomable.

Love your post Special. And I agree that Austin isn't comfortable with the paps. I really like him and think he's waaay hotter than Jake :)

The cherry blossoms are beautiful. We have a plum tree in our backyard and it blooms white in spring...just gorgeous!

Amusing that Jake could make it to the Reese posse only after Austin left for filming. Hey, it's free publicity.....where else will he get that? I expect daily photo ops till the promotion finishes.

Can't help but think of the charts Meg posted a few days back about Reeke's popularity. Hope that dead worm (line for those who are wondering!) perks up!! even a little bit? heee heee

Oh, Anon, you're going to get zapped anytime. Special must be away from her post.

What a day, what a day. Mom is in the apartment!! Had to tidy up the kitchen real quick when we got home. Dad had some surgery today & he's doing real well. Two times they have had to drain some fluid from that affected lung and the last time they did, they said if it happened again, they weren't going to piddle around; they'd cut it out or whatever it is they do. It's done laproscopically or whatever. You know, they go in through the back with some kind of scope or something. Is that incredible or what? So sure enough, it slowly started back up. That was Tues. and today he had the surgery. Came through it real well and even though he's in some discomfort, he will feel so much better later. Heck, he had broth & Jell O tonight. And then he said he kind of wished we had snuck him in a piece of fish from the fish fry we went to. Prince of Peace Church, Special. We took Mom there for a little break & boy, did she eat good.

Procedure has about a 95% successful rate so hopefully this will take care of it. Can you imagine - they weighed him before & after surgery and there was like about a 11 lb difference. His neighbor in the room had had his 2nd heart attack and my sister said he's only 47. I guess the doctor really give it to him, telling him that he has got to stop smoking or else. Boy, he had a big ol' scar right down the middle of his chest. Ick. And he's supposed to go home tomorrow.

We left Dad watching college basketball. You know, it's March Madness time. I'm not a college ball fan, but Dad's a huge KU fan.

So, all is going well & man, Austin is looking drop-dead gorgeous. That black shirt does it all for him there. I mean, that picture is hot. Forget that other guy at his side, whoever he is. lol. Austin is front & center.

Well, everyone have a great evening. Thanks to Spooky for that fantastic picture. Boy, I still can't get over that one. Too bad that other guy can't be kinda cropped out of there...

Sweet dreams!

Pffft! Good riddance - Jen can do so much better than JM

Thanks for the update and encouraging news about your dad PG. He might feel a bit rough next day or so but he will be back in business pretty darn quick.

Glad that you and your mom had a nice time over at Prince of Peace.

My brother is KU alum, I grew up in the heart of the ACC, and have friends who coach in the Pac 10. And we all trash talk. Total March Madness.

No it doesn't count, but its always good when the Sox beat the Yankees, even in Spring Training.
Go Sox!

Seems like Austin is looking better every day while Jake is in reverse mode.

No surprises with Reeke. I guess a spread in OK or People will follow. Right on q before the Monster movie opens. To me, the more pics they show, the more is revealed. How does the saying go - hoisted on one's own petard. No signs of love anywhere.

I thought Austin was all done with his OTH filming. Glad to see he is around friends. You can tell he is having a good time with the cast. And maybe he will blog soon if he is in NC.

I recognised Luz del Mundo :) :)

Now for new Austin :) and new Reeke :/

Hi PG, glad to hear your Dad's procedure was successful and he's recovering well.

Now that Jake has been seen with Austin, and everyone knows Austin is part of Jake's life, I wonder how Reese feels holding hands and walking around with him? Kinda foolish??

Hi Austin!

You're looking fine. Spooky, those pics are great - the black shirt, the grey sweater, reminds me of someone else's sweater!

PG, I'm so glad to hear your Dad's surgery went well, and he was feeling up to having a little something to eat and watch a little basketball. (((((PG)))))

Yay, Sox! Always a good omen to a season, when they beat the Yankees during Spring Training! Always reminds me of the film Bull Durham, I loved Susan S. in it. :)
