Play Ball!

It's Opening Day! And what else could you talk about on the first day of the baseball season but the Damn Yankees. Spare you the rant on those Yankees, and talk about the Damn Yankees, one OMG might be interested in, Damn Yankees: The Musical.

Jake must be doing his own Musical Theater Spring Training to get ready to play Joe Hardy the answer to the Washington Senators' prayers.

Damn Yankees is the story of real estate agent Joe Boyd, a long-suffering, middle-aged fan of the Washington Senators baseball team, as a new season opens. After his wife Meg has gone to bed, Joe suddenly meets a slick salesman, Mr. Applegate, who is in reality the Devil. Joe is convinced to sell his soul to the Devil to become the young and strong slugger Joe Hardy, the "long ball hitter the Senators need that he'd sell his soul for," and leaves his wife Meg . However, Joe's business sense makes him think of an escape clause: the Senators' last game is on September 25th, and if he chooses to play in that final game, he is "in for the duration"-he has until 9 o'clock that night to walk away from the deal and return to his normal life.

In baseball there are utility men, 5 tool players and designated hitters.

Utlility men in baseball, are those who can switch several positions.

A 5 tool player in baseball is one that has great speed, can hit for average, hit for power, a great throwing arm and is excellent defensively.

What's a 5 tool player for the movies? Act. Sing. Dance. What else?

And designated hitters? A bit controversial, and only existing in the American League, there only job is to step up to the plate and bring in the hits.

So what's Jake? Utility Man? 5 tool player? Designated Hitter?

(Oh I hear you saying switch hitter, but didn't give that to you as an option.)One suggestion to the studios - maybe make Jake Shirtless Joe instead of Shoeless Joe?

Uh, just a tip, no wooden bats in softball Jakey,

Too much Yankees, need some Red Sox. : )

Opening Day '04, in the Green Monster Seats from the Special K Cam.

About the same spot where Jake watched the game at Fenway.

I was trying to post a comment when you changed on me Special. Luckily I copied it, but it's not on topic for this thread, but I'm posting it anyway to address comments in the previous thread, so here goes:

I have never understood that argument about RDJ being too druggy for Reese. Like AG said, he's Oscar-nominated, talented, hip, and, most importantly in HW, Iron Man made boatloads of money. Is it any surprise that Reese wants to be front and center of that?

Drugs are only a problem in HW if they interfere with your ability to work and/or cause you to engage in behavior that is so over the top you become a liability, like Lohan.

The only thing you can't be in HW is gay. Other than that, anything goes in HW, as long as it doesn't interfere with your ability to work.

My theory about why RDJ is okay but not Heath is that as part of their bearding contract--one, by the way, which I wouldn't be surprised if Disney wasn't also a party too--Jake is not allowed to say anything about BBM because the goal here was also not just the gay rumors, but so that people who didn't really know who Jake is would no longer say "that guy from BBM". (For the life of me I don't understand why being "Reese's boyfriend" is better than being known for the best work you've done to date, but that's another story.)

Unfortunately life has a way of intruding on shams eventually, as happened when Heath sadly passed away. Maybe Jake would have never said anything anyway, the problem for me is that everything Jake does anymore has the taint of Reeke on it. And I wouldn't be surprised if PR didn't think that if they showed Jake out with his oh so supportive girlfriend looking miserably unhappy that they would fix that problem. Instead like a lot of what pr has devised for Reeke it backfired big time because it really turned off a lot of fans.

Of course this is all just my theory, but regardless of the reason, I just don't think it is fair to blame Reese not wanting to be associated with a druggie for Jake's not saying anything about Heath. I don't happen to think it is true, and more importantly Jake agreed to that contract and whatever else PR cooked up for him.

About the RDJ thing. I think it says more about Reese's ambition than anything else.

And to those in Italy thoughts and prayers are with you. Like Wicked said in the last post, please let us know if you're ok. ((Giusi))

Great Post! Important day today, best wishes to the Sox for a winning season! Love the Jakey baseball card - Spesh, I don't know where you come up with all of this stuff.

Happy Opening Day (even tho it's been postponed due to rain?)!

Thinking of our friends in Italy and Guisi, check in and let us know how you are!.

I think that since J&R are represented by the same PR firm, it's a distinct possibility that keeping mum regarding Heath would benefit them both.

Also, OT - but I thought this deserved mentioning. Thanks to our wonderful President Obama and Congress for passing the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009, which protects 200 million acres of land and a thousand miles of rivers in 9 states from development. Way to Go! :)

Destiny: i agree with everything you said and really enjoyed reading your comment. I don't think that Jake ignored Heath's death because of the drug taint. I think he stayed out of the limelight because he wanted to remove himself as far as possibly from the movie that brought all the gay rumors bashing down on him.

I used to think that the reason he didn't say anything was because he was genuinely really sad about it and that he felt making a public statement would be deflecting attention off of Heath and dragging it onto himself. I've tried really hard to think the best about him for a very long time. Realizing i've been fooling myself makes me very sad. :(

As for Reeke and RDJ, i also agree. His drug use isn't keeping him from making kick-ass movies AND his drug problems are a thing of the past. He beat them and came out on top. He's a winner, and he's almost cool enough to make them look cool by association. Almomst, but not quite.

I am so tired of cold rainy days. I guess it must really be bad in Boston to postpone opening day. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I may have to check out the new Yankee stadium this season.

I can't help but wonder if that RDJ party wasn't as much a pr event as it was a genuine birthday party. I get the feeling there is a real pr push on with RDJ as I see a lot more of him than I ever used to on gossip sites.

I'm sure I read that RDJ and Reese are slated to do a movie together. It was announced a week or two after they were seen together for the first time. I remember it specifically because I said to myself Oh, that's why. They want to see if the stars will be compatible so they are spending some time together. Nothing to do with Jake after all.

If OTH wrapped, Austin will be back home. Look for Jake to smarten up and look hot again.

Good morning everyone!

Usually I love musicals but for once I wonder if I am going to love this one LOL. Oh well no need to worry so soon , wait and see.

I have loved RDJ since his Charlie Chaplin Biopic, a great great actor and if he and Jake are friends , good for them.
I feel there is a real connexion between them. Besides maybe Robert has known Reese long time before Jake, I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree with all what you say about Jake distancing himself with BBM! I am divided on that cause on hand this movie should be a big pride , his Jack Twist's interpretation was really great even if I think he has played characters more ambiguous and complex in the past BUT on other hand each actor who played in a "phenomenon" movie like this always tries to distance himself from that long time after cause it's getting to stifling, which I can understand. I just hope he didn't use Heath's death like a excuse to do it.

I saw the "Nailed" pics and I am really curious about this "weird" movie. Since it's a political satire, I wonder about all the money issues during the shooting. It's seems "annoyances" like that never happen when Blockbuster are involved but for a more independant movie mocking politics... well LOL

Oh before forgetting , I am really glad to see newcomers, proof people longs for intelligent blogs like this.

The only thing you can't be in HW is gay. Other than that, anything goes in HW, as long as it doesn't interfere with your ability to work.

There is one other thing you can't be in HW. Fat.

Look at Judy Garland. HW encourages drug use if it keeps the weight off. Hell they will get you the drugs.

It is twisted when they say Christine Ricci is a "big" girl.

And look at Seth Rogen if the rumors are true.

First off,

Hello Special K--thanks for the welcome.

I'm sure this was already mentioned but FYI, Heath's birthday was the same day as RDJ's. He would have been 30 years old. Sniff.

RDJ is still using--at least that's what I heard according to a really good source of mine. I seriously will be surprised if he lives til 50, even with the success he's had.

Special K said...

RDJ was incredible as Chaplin. He is a great actor. I thought he was great in Tropic Thunder, talk about a challenge to play with just the right balance.

Tabloid Headline said...

FYI, RDJ is also seriously delusional. According to gossip (I'd believe it considering how screwed up he is), he really thought he had a shot at beating Heath Ledger at the Oscars. Sigh.

Meg said...

Tabloid Headline... that's why he's good friends with Reeke, they think they've got a shot at being 'the' a-list power couple.

Actually, can you think of any party guests you'd less want than Gwynnie and Reese, Jake would be fun if he brought Austin along though.

I can't wait to see Anne as Judy Garland - I hope it will be like how incredibly good Jamie Foxx was as Ray - outstanding. His new movie with RDJ looks good too. Jamie is outstanding just from the previews. I thought RDJ looked so much like Chaplin, he's a great actor. But this was Heath's Oscar year. :)

Sorry that Opening Day was rained out, but I love the post Spesh. :)

I agree about weight and HW, although it has generally been an issue only for women, and certainly not an issue for men who generally do just comedies. My guess is that Seth was probably required to lose weight for the Green Hornet. And it's not jut being fat that seems to be taboo for women, but being a normal weight! I really find the starving woman look disturbing and unappealing.

I know from personal experience how hard it can be to lose even a few pounds, but most people can change their weight, even if doing so is not easy or fun.

But expecting gay people to "straighten up" is a very different matter. People can't change who they love, and as the Iowa Supreme Court said in their decision, it's a matter of treating people equally. The weight discrimination applies to everyone, the restriction on who you can openly love only applies to gay people.

And nothing is going to change as long as people like Jake cater to the homophobes by playing the bearding game. And yes, I know a lot of other people do it, but that doesn't make it right. Most of the people doing that are also a lot older than Jake and got started in HW when the world was a different place, and now they're stuck because what do you tell your fans after you've lied to them for decades?

destiny said...

Awww, I missed Tink in action! I'm clearly not worthy enough for such an honor. ;)

Meg said...

"I really find the starving woman look disturbing and unappealing."

Apparently during a recession / depression, the 'desired' female form becomes much chubbier, ie normal. So hopefully the skeletal norm we have recently been told is desirable will go away.

Not sure this snippet of info is relevant to this blog but thought I'd just add it in.

Anne as Judy ??? hum true she looks like her a bit from the face, but too much tall and I hardly see her in Dorothy outfit lol. I heard she a good singer though, so why not??

Don't get me wrong I love Biopic, as I said the Robert's Charlie Chaplin was great and Jamie Fox too in Ray but I have the feeling it's trendy and the garantee to have an oscar and sometimes others performances equally good are more deserving aka Heath for BBM or Mickey Roorcke this year. Sean Penn was fantastic but I found the come back of Mickey really moving.

I gave a glimpse on this Ian site , and well it's quite funny.

I was thinking of Anne's face too, some of her facial expressions, I didn't think of her height, but I can see her as Dorothy, with the ponytails and her brown eyes. Yes I agree Elinor, I found Mickey's comeback really moving as well. Let's hope we see him in lots more movies! I love that he loves his dogs. :)

Heath will always be unforgettable as Ennis, but his transformation into The Joker just blows me away.

It's always amazing for me to the the transformation into the character for a biopic, some of the more amazing ones were Jamie as Ray, Will Smith as Mohammed Ali, Helen Mirren as The Queen, Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf. Even (dare I say it) Joaquin Phoenix and Reese as Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. They always have such great imagery too, I'll never forget the sound and color of the bottle wind chimes in Ray, as the young Ray was losing his sight, or the stag that Queen Elizabeth encounters at Balmoral. Lasting impressions - movies are an art! :)

It will be always a mystery to me why people are accusing Jake of "distancing himself" from BBM and Heath when it was in fact Heath who - after the Oscars 2006- turned his back and never showed up on an event that had anything to do with BBM or could be seen as ambiguous.

It was Jake who attended the MTV Movie Awards 2006 and took the award for "Best Kiss" (and Timberlakes silly behaviour), Jakes SNL opening has already cult status, Jake attended the GLAAD Awards in 2007 to honouring J. Aniston, Jake visits Rufus Wainwrights concerts, is friends with him and was even on stage performing the part of a song.

During the "Rendition" promotion Jake was constantly asked about BBM.

RDJ presented Jake at the "National Arts Awards" for Young Artist Award for Artistic Excellence in 2006 and they are seen and photographed together - looks like they build a friendship during the ZODIAC promotion, so why shouldn´t RDJ invite him for his birthday.

You are right I forgot Helen Miren in the queen , amazing performance and our frenchy Marion is a good actress , she succeed in Piaf gesture even if in a few scenes I found her acting a bit exagereted, just my opinion.
By curiosity I saw Walk the line a few time ago , I was expecting anything giving I knew nothing about Johnny Cash and June Carter and being not really a fan of this kind of music BUT I have been touched by this love story.
Joaquin and Reese had chemistry and sing well, a good movie .

"movies are an art!"

Perfectly!!! Sometimes movies are like a canva with several shades, right now I think of the masterpiece " Death in Venise", a movie-painting.

I'm not a fan of the traditional biopic, but some of them don't follow the tired old formula or transcend it, like Milk and The Queen, both great movies.

People who say Jake is running from BBM are talking about post-Reeke, but I suspect you know that Mystery as all of your examples are quite old.

And yes, Jake seems to be a friend of RDJ, but it doesn't mean the party wasn't done with any eye to publicity for all involved.

Also, if someone is going to the birthday party of a really good friend, and not just a work acquaintance, in my experience people take their partners, they don't go alone or take someone else like a beard.

eastcoastfan said...

Mystery I agree with you 100%..
It seemed to me that Heath was the one distancing himself from BBM. I always thought this during that timeframe and Jake "Was" the trooper and dealt with all the jokes and whatever was threw at him. I was proud of Jake. I really was because the jokes were endless and most were directed towards him.

Not trying to bash Heath because I thought he was a beautful and talented man. There was also rumors that he would not stand with Jake for some photo ops. during that time.
I stil have no problem with Jake's silence and think he dealt with Heath's passing privately and in his own way. I'm ok with that.
Don't care if he was with Reese.

History said...

OK, about the Oscar luncheon, and Heath's moritorium on EnnisJack pics.

Does anyone remember that Michelle, the woman he loved, the mother of his child, was also nominated for her role in that film? Yes, no? Well, it seemed that the media didn't, and was all about the 'gay cowboys' only.

Perhaps Heath was just being a supportive partner and refusing to feed the BBM frenzy that left Michelle on the sidelines.

Or maybe he was tired of puppy dog Jake, and those oh, so obvious stares of his.

Special K said...

You made good points Mystery. Jake didn't back away from BBM. I don't think he is distancing himself even now, remember the last interviews we've seen from Jake were for Rendition in 2007 and he was still asked about it. We haven't heard from Jake since then.

I agree Eastcoast. I think he dealt with it privately in his own way.

eastcoastfan said...

not gonna beat a dead horse, but for Jake to go to that teen award (or whatever it was) for best kiss, which was between two men said alot to me. I did not think Jake or Heath would attend. But Jake did. Jake was not gonna take no shit from anyone and that included big star Justin T. I'm sure everyone saw that. Justin got the message. I was real proud of Jake.

movie buff said...

I was very proud of him too - he stood up, and as you say, and love a guy or gal who don't take no sh*t. The jokes were relentless then, and just so inane. But they didn't matter then, and don't matter now. The important thing was that he was brave enough play a beautiful, beautiful character and role, and to support it.

I can understand and accept that he wanted to grieve privately, just imagine having your private feelings splashed all over the media, we civilians don't have to worry about such things. At the time, it seemed unusual, and my own grief and anger about the unfairness of such a loss I found very distressing, especially when I thought he might have needed help, and noone was there for him, it might have been prevented if only someone had intervened, or if someone had called the frigging ambulance sooner. I guess I thought hearing Jake say something would be helpful, but he didn't feel any obligation. I'm glad to see that RDJ and Jake are friends. Take care of your friends.

I mean, i could understand before the divorce was final, and i could even understand for a while afterwards, while they were getting themselves established, making sure they were gonna at least survive the first thunderstorm. But after 2 freaking years of being shoved up each others butts, if you can't even come up with something meaningful to say about the relationship, then i am totally confused. How am i supposed to take this seriously, when you can't even say his name in an interview without having a mini-coronary???

First off, my flight from Baltimore to Detroit was delayed over an hour because it was snowing in Detroit & the plane coming from there to Balt. had to be deiced. By all means, pleeeease deice that plane, guys! I found out that I still had a good chance of making my connecting flight once I got to Detroit, but that a backup reserv. was made that would leave after 1500. So, we get to Detroit and I have 20 min. to go from terminal A-something all the way to C-25. It was several escalators and I don't know how many moving sidewalks. But we couldn't get right off the plane because we needed to wait for an attendant to open the door inside the airport & let us in!! We waited forever. I missed my flight. And so then I had to go to Terminal C11, I think. That girl tells me not to even check back & get my seat assignment til 45 min to loading. When that time came, I found out I was literally on standby. The flight was overbooked & if I couldn't get on, she'd get me on the next soonest flight possible.
Oookaaaaay. So, the plane landed and they were asking volunteers to give up their seats for a $300 bribe. Actually, several people did. Then, there was a delay because they thought there was something wrong with one of the tires & they needed a mechanic to take a look at it. About 20-25 min. I managed to get on the plane, and then, there was another delay because the pilot said they needed someone to start the plane engine. It was one thing right after another. Unbelievable!!! And when I was asking the guy @ Terminal 25 about my luggage? He told me "It'll get there when it gets there".

Excuse me?

I got home a little after 1830, I think. I've eaten a PB&J sandwich and have been catching up ever since. Boy, it takes forever to read 3 days worth of comments by you all!!

If Austin comes out, so does Jake. There'd be no avoiding it.

Even if Jake and Reese married, had a Mormonesque sized family, if Austin was out, then Jake is Straight would surpass TomKat and Revolta combined on the believablity scale.

No Gay Jake, no Gay Austin.

Don't ask me why but I'm getting the feeling Reeke and Fauxfam will be "spotted" doing a People-worthy local family outing at Disneyland next. No paps, the nanny will take the pics, which kills 2 birds with 1 stone, looks like another guest took the pics and guarantees the nanny won't be seen in any pics.

She said "[Heath Ledger's] death was just so sudden. Time goes by but nothing fades or dissipates...well, there's not a day that goes by where I don't think about that."

She has been asked about him before at the Australian's in film event she attended last year. If I remember correctly she discussed how talented he was and how she enjoyed working with him and that they had become close friends and then she started to get emotional and she didn't or couldn't say anything else.

I have no idea where she is right now. Once Ryan settles into playing his character she may show up in Africa. She loves to travel.

TR, the other day you posted something that said in effect that when Ryan's movie comes out, Reese will time a Reeke baby rag cover. Please tell me that you don't see Reeke lasting another full year. Is there any kind of light at the end of the dark Reeke tunnel?

And I am pretty tired, so this 'll be my last comment for the night. I haven't even unpacked yet; but I think I'm going to just leave my suitcase like it is til tomorrow, lol. I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I had the best time. It was just unbelievable, really. The best part was meeting Wicked & the Mrs. and, of course, the infamous Tink, Potter, Peabunny, and Karina. They have a beautiful bird, too, but he isn't really "pet friendly", meaning it's best not to stick your fingers anywhere near his cage, lol. Don't have to warn me twice!! And the other fantastic part was getting to meet Destiny! We picked Destiny up @ Union Station and from there, it was go, go, go. We talked about everything under the sun, but I think the funniest part was us 3 conjuring up the fantasy of re-creating a photo-op there in D.C.

Then, Wicked informed us of the oh-so-controversial "Twicked" pics. I had never seen those. LOLLLLLL!!! Oh dog, those were absolutely hilarious!! Tom, you are nuts, buddy! You are just nuts. Those were a gas, I'm telling you. I loved the piggyback pic. snicker!!
Oh!!! And the medical building. With the coffee cups!!! LOLLLLLL!!

Tom, we are going to have to meet, that's all there is to it. That is all there is to it. It's got to happen.

Wicked & the mrs were so welcoming & have such a warm home. It was just a blast. Unfortunately, my silly 10-foot thick firewall wasn't letting me access their wireless and that's why I was never on. I'll try & remember more from our trip tomorrow, but right now, I am pretty darn sleepy. And I need to go in early tomorrow, so I best be hitting the hay.

sniff No new chapter of In Plain Sight, m!!! Orchid!! Where are you???? I'm not seeing you - where have you been? I thought maybe when I came back, there might be, just might be a new chapt, but alas, not.

Okay, well, I haven't checked out any pictures or any other blogs. Just OMG, because, well... that's the most essential one. Gotta check it out, of course. I can't be bothered with that RDJ thing tonight. Nope, that's not high on the agenda.

Oh! And a big welcome to Skye!!! I saw you on here the other day, Skye, and I'm sorry I was unable to greet you earlier. But it's good to see you and I look forward to seeing you around again. Yeah, this is a real diverse crew here.

And hello to Smiley and everyone else who sent well wishes & greetings. I wish we ALL could get together in one big OMG Convention. That'd be something, wouldn't it? OMG'ers from all over the world, descending upon a Super 8 for the first annual OMG Convention. The hotel would never be the same again. lol

Okay, well, I am falling asleep here in the chair, so I better be signing off. I'll talk to you guys later.

Sweet dreams & Special, you did some fantastic work here these past few days! Thanks for answering this afternoon & keeping me company while I sat in that loveliest of lovely airports, Detroit.

Destiny The only thing you can't be in HW is gay.

Few weeks ago there were basketball pics of Ed Westwick nuzzling and getting real friendly with another guy, the guy had his hand on Ed's knee etc. Since then a blitz of pics in x17 and Just Jared and mentions in rags of Ed dating women, kissing costar females, out with his "gf".

Prairie Girl, it's been pretty slow on the slash front the last few days. You should be able to catch up on that fairly easily. Watch now, I'll check DC slash tonight and there will be 20 new updates. Glad to hear you had a good time.

TR, did you ever read the rumor that Heath wanted to fix Abbie up with Jake? That's quite ironic considering the outcome.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble getting home PG. Plane travel really is the worst. I love trains, which is how I got down to D.C. I wish they had the high speed trains like they do in Europe and Japan.

As long as Jake & Austin are together, there is no way for Austin to be out if Jake is in. And honestly, as much as I want people to come out, I have no problem with people being in the closet, it's the bearding that bothers me.

M's mention of DC reminds me that Dave Cullen's Columbine book was reviewed in the New York Times today. It got a bad review.

That People story is some of the worst written dreck I've read in a long time, and that's saying a lot considering all the shit out there. And funny how a story about RDJ's birthday turned into a story about a fauxmance and about a couple widely rumored to have marriage problems, Martin and Paltrow.

We're surprised Jake and Reese weren't there—aren't they required to visit every coffeehouse in the country, with equally low-key affection revealed? Isn't it in their contract or something? Or am I getting that confused with somebody else?

Ah no one snarks like Ted.

I just wanted to say in case it didn't appear that way in my last post that I do honestly think that Jake and RDJ are real friends.

I also love RDJ as an actor and think he has more talent in his little finger than most actors do in their whole bodies.

Just getting that out there.

Anyway, time for a new Jaustin picture. Guys, Guys.

After getting out of jail and rehab when RDJ had practically no career because 1. no one would hire him 2. he was box office/PR death and 3. the public made fun of him, he did what all actors in his position do: he came out with an album. He was singing on any daytime talk show that would have him, LOL. The way things are going with Reeke, bearding, POP, Nailed and Brothers, I sure hope Jake is practicing his scales.

Actually, when RDJ had been out of jail for all of about 2 days, he was hired for Ally McBeal. And he was great on it.

I don't think Jake is straight, but I find it kind of wierd and crazy to complain about Just Jake being gay and bearding in Hollywood when there are a whole host of others doing it also, so most think.
Why hasn't Austin come out of the closet? That's one of my questions. I agree with Destiny and you that you can be anything but gay in Hollywood and I find it disappointing, but complaining about JUST Jake is the problem for me.

I agree with everything you say eastcoast. I am interested in all people with any type of celeb status coming out. Whomever it may be. Besides HW celebs I am waiting for the day that a well known athlete comes out. I just think that Jake is the most famous of
the closest celebs because of his own doings, BBM, and Ted. Plus this is the absolute best site dedicated to the topic and the site is about Jake and Austin.

Eastcoast Austin wont come out for the same reasons jake wont. Career and money. Lets face it if jake comes out then Austin is outed and visa versa. Regretfully jake is cemented firmly in the closet. It would be nearly impossible for either to come out anytime too soon because of what Jake has done.
I would love for Wentworth or Hayden to come out and I am sure it would be dicussed here big time if that happened.

I am glad u got home home safe PR Girl. I have to meet you too.

I also hope everything is OK with guisi.

Florida Tom said...

One thing I wanted to add Eastcoast about a month ago I committed to not critising Jake or Austin or talking about reeke. I think I have stuck to that. Refering to the situation Jake has placed himself in as a contract is the only way I can think about dicussing it wihout sounding to critical.

I believe someone had said that they felt bad about not intending to see any of Jake movies until things change. I believe it was Clarity. Clarity if that was you dont feel bad I am with you. I also feel the same way about Austin. I did see Prayers for Bobby because of the subject matter. I think it is perfectly understandable not wanting to support Jakes behavior and HWs involvement.

Did JT do/say something inappropriate at that award show? I heard he slapped JG on the rear but I thought it was just gossip.

Clarity Justin gave Jakea huge slap on the rear. Jake was startled.

I loved what Jake said in his acceptance speech when Jake and Heath won best kiss.. He thanked everyone and emphasized very firmly that it was a very very big deal thta this kiss had won..
I beleive he meant it and that remark was one of the things that firmly convinced me that jake was gay along with his acceptance speech at the Baftas. He cant make those words and moments dissappear.

This is a Jake and Austin blog, so it's natural that is who people are going to talk about. J&A are also different because it seemed like they came so close to coming out before Jake not only slammed that door but applied the cement. They're also a lot younger than most of the other closeted stars people talk about, and other than Zac (someone I have little interest in), no one Jake's age is bearding so aggresively.

But if there are other closeted HW actors you want to talk about Eastcoastfan then you should just start a conversation about them. Plenty of us here talk about other things.

What I find most disturbing about the party report in People is tha Jake was apparently talking to Gwynnie P about a new project. Jake, your career is precarious enough right now, for the love of God, please don't even think about doing enough film with GP. I think a rom-com with Reese would be preferably (well maybe not).

That would be the stupidest career move ever. Rendition was bad enough.

well that's a relief, Jake's safe for another six months then, don't think I could withstand another borefest like Proof (and that's coming from someone who is a very mathematically minded person).
