Abs -camera - action

What's the word now that we've release the new clip of

Mr. Bruckheimer, there's a big buzz, it's all over the internet and tons of tweets.

Excellent.

But...

But what?

Well a lot of it is about Jake sir.

"An unspoiled lump of clay to mold in my own image"

More specifically his abs.

Excellent.

Well sir, it might not be. There is a lot of talk about them being fake.

Ahh the plan is working.

Sir?

More media coverage, don't you see. The debate, the wonder, are they real? Free PR!!! Love it.

But sir is that the kind we want?

Of course! Its PR. Will have our own campaign about his abs. We can release more about the movie, behind the scenes, the work outs, hiding those abs. Tease them some more, and then an Entertainment Tonight exclusive.

But sir they are.....

Don't say it. Don't say either way. That's the beauty of it . Oh think of it T-shirts with Dastan's 6-pack. Exercise equipment. A Dastan Body Pillow with abs. Work out videos. Action figures with Abtastic Action. Think of it. Think of all the new review streams.
Call my lawyers!

Mr. Bruckheimer? .. sir..... are you crying?

I'm just so happy.
Let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby and get ourselves some snacks.

Sir

A little over a year ago.....

I don't know. I mean I would have to be shirtless almost through the whole movie.

And that's a bad thing? I like the shirtless look for you.

Look who I'm talking to.

Hey can't help it, the shirts some how just find their way off. Do you need some tips?
Whaaaaat? I'm just willing to help. And I'm the pro at no -shirt scenes between the two of us.

Tip #1 Running lines without your shirt helps.

Good point, Spesh. If we're all busy talking about Jake, then we're keeping POP in the pipeline, but we aren't really thinking so much about the movie overall, and whether it's going to be any good or not.

As for Jake's image since Reeke began, i agree with the last poster on the last entry: he has lost all of his manly appeal. After the third giant story about how he asked her to marry him - down on bended knee - and she turned him down, i lost all respect for his role in this farce. He's just her booby prize to make up for losing Ryan and to keep her from looking all dumped and pathetic. It's kept him in the public eye, but i don't see how it's done anything but hurt his image.

Ohhh I love to have fun with idea of Bruckheimer and Disney, with a little Simpson's vs. Disney feud thrown in for fun.

But Bruck loves it all the good the bad and the ugly. Because he has a huge movie to sell. That's his job.

Love that Austin got to work with him first on Glory Road. The small world of Jake & Austin.

And this isn't Jake's first work for the empire of Disney. Bubble Boy was release under Beuna Vista a subsidiary of Disney as the time. No Bubble Boy Action figure! The injustice!

We know there will be a Dastan action figure, and you know Austin's can be a little Ken looking with the right hair. Hmmmm...

I clicked on the links. Mr. Burns as Bruckheimer. OMG SFX. Special you're going to be in trouble. LOL

Gotta say my favorite picture today is the the one of Jake's workout.

Why? Because the guy in the red short is totally working it for Jakey to notice him. : )

sienna said...

Spesh! Good point about the dude in red shorts. He is so vogueing for Jake it's not even funny! (But it is!)

thanks for giving me a Jake smile. those don't happen much, but jake actually looks really cute in that pic too, even tho his abs are poking out the front of his shirt, which is just a tad bit of a strange look for our boy. :)

sienna said...

i went back and relooked at the Red Shorts pic, and actually - no, his abs don't look weird in that pic. he looks perfect, and so i take that last remark back.

they did look weird to me in the black t-shirt pics posted a few days ago, but here they look fine.

Special K said...

Sienna, in the pic with the black shirt Jake was walking into the wind, so that may have added to the weird look you see.

Wicked said...

***If he wanted it to be seen on SoGo wouldn't he have posted it there? I think he'd deny it.***

I'd think if he wanted to deny it he wouldn't have posted it online and signed his name to it.

Special K said...

Again like you said Wicked they're a lot of Austin Nichols out there. We both have seen a lot of Google alerts.

And like flf said -Never, never believe what you read straight away. Let it rest. Time will tell. Hell it took 2 years to confirm Austin was still in Jake's life

Greetings from Tremezzo, Lago Di Como, Italy where I took some time to catch up on Jake news while staring at the lake. I've been saving Austin's posts in a word document and while I do not have it with me to reread on my travel size laptop, I've read his work enough to say that to me the poem does not sound like his writing style. I feel sorry for the author though. Betrayal is painful. I've experienced it twice. Once by a friend, once by a lover. I don't know which was worse.

It strikes me as odd that Bruckhiemer is so involved in promoting POP. Has he done that on other films. There seems to be little interest as a result based on the sites I routinely visit and I had about 3 days worth of news to catch up on.

Hey M :) What a nice place to be - let us know if you see Austin.
(I hope the poem isn't him). :(

Agree with previous post poster who thought Jake pinged in the vid.

From EW.com

**It looks like One Tree Hill newlyweds Peyton and Lucas are about to embark on a permanent honeymoon.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, whose characters tied the knot in last night's penultimate episode, will not be returning for the show's seventh season next fall. The CW is expected to formally announce their departures next Thursday at its upfront presentation.

Murray and Burton have been engaged in rather high-profile contract negotiations for the past several months. Ultimately, a deal couldn't be worked out and both actors will make their final appearances in next Monday's season finale.

To fill the void next season, a Hill insider tells me that two new characters will be introduced. Additionally, Austin Nichols (Julian) is being promoted to a series regular.

What say you, Tree Hill fans? Pumped for OTH 2.0? Too upset to even think about it? Let loose in the comments section. And remember: Don't shoot the messenger. The messenger is good. And a handsome devil to boot.

"Last night (May 11) Reese Witherspoon was in the house for the 5th anniversary of the Avon Comprehensive Breast Center.

In related news, it seems Miss Witherspoon and her handsome beau Jake Gyllenhaal are more ready than ever to finally tie the knot.

An inside source told press, They just got back from Jake’s sister Maggie’s wedding and they’ve definitely got the bug.” Rumor has it that Reese and Jake are looking to get hitched in the summer of 2010."

Special K said...

Funny how the Brindisi pictures, the People mention and the Avon event all happened on the same day,hmmmmmm..... the day after the PoP stuff came out.

Sounds like Reese has to be front and center. Standard operating procedure continues.

And interesting that Jake went out by himself on Mother's Day - shopping. Like he wanted it to be seen that he wasn't with Reese, and they couldn't write that he was. And if they do it now - it will look like PR is again trying to clean up behind themselves.

thank you word! said...

Rumor has it that Reese and Jake are looking to get hitched in the summer of 2010." Don't they mean summer of 2009?
Oh wait, my bad. That was the story before that date passed like all the other wedding dates.

Find and replace must be PR's favorite function to use.

steddad said...

Wasn't Jake shopping in Brentwood whole foods with like four bags? Look at the caption on IHJ, no need for PR to clean up.

I have to say I totally agree Sienna. And before anyone jumps on me I know its very petty and selfish of me to say. But that's how I really feel unfortunately. If I'm totally wrong about all of this then I apologize. Somehow though I don't think I am.

Dear Ted:

I just completed round one of the Most Awful Celeb and saw that Toothy was listed as a choice, which renewed my obsession with finding out who he is. So I have to beg, any chance you could let me know: Was Toothy listed under his real name somewhere else on the contest?

Dear Awful Poller:

You're a sneaky little detective aren't you? Think you're onto something, I do.

Nothing to apologize for, Clarity.

I only saw 3 bags in Jake's hands at Whole Foods and from those pictures & his appearance (and boy, he looks really rough in those), it's impossible to tell what the store run was for. I suppose if someone wanted to try & make it sound like Jake was making a Mother's Day for Reese store run, the picture would've had a much more astounding impact had the 2 stepchildren been with him.

Interesting reading the comments on the OTH blip on JJ. A real cross between those who say that those 2 actors are the original backbone of the series and those who like Sophia Bush. A good amount of commenters who like Austin, too.

Ah, the trials & tribulations of being a fan of a TV series. There's always going to be the hacking of a series regular due to salary issues or just because an actor wants to "move on". Gosh, I wonder, though, if some of those commenters are right and they might kill off Peyton's character? Usually, they leave a door open though, for that character to be able to come back.

Dont feel bad Charity at all. I have no intention of ever seeing any of Jakes work again. Let his new fanbase whomever that may be support him.

I still have a soft spot for Austin though. He seems very much a gentleman. We will see where his heart leads him.

Remax said...

Yeah, it does seem that Ojai, after so much pomp, circumstance and pig farm going paps, has fallen off the Reeke agenda. Both have been so busy cheapening relatives weddings, I guess.

Things I love:

my beautiful park when it's spring, fall, or even winter when everything is brown.

a sidesplitting, fistbanging, out of breath, laugh

to this day, when my mom still writes my name on a card in full, middle name included, like I'm still 10 yrs old

when my whole family & my brother's family are all seated together at a table for a meal

a dog, any dog, happily trotting alongside its owner while out on a walk

waking up and realizing it's Saturday

Friday afternoons at 1530 and being free for the weekend

Adjourning to my room & my bed every evening.

Singing in church to a song I know

A warm handshake, meeting someone's eyes, and sharing a smile

You know, I don't know what the future holds. But I tell you what. When my dad hugs us goodbye now, he holds a little while longer than he ever used to. And I know why my brother is coming up now more often than he ever has. And I never thought I would look back on times when my dad hacked me off and just wish I could hear him grousing about a neighbor or current event with a strong voice again.

And actually, my Dad's still doing alright. The doctors are pleased with what's happened so far and hopefully he starts the next round of chemo this week soon as he gets the ok on the iron in his blood. But this stuff called cancer - it's like this big giant that you feel you have no control over. And when I see what the National Enq is doing with their covers on Patrick Swayze, I want to just slug the he-- out of them. How dare they do that to him and his family. They wouldn't like that if that was them who was sick. Why do they do that to him? Let him have the dignity & privacy he deserves. Do they think he wants his fans to see him ill? I could just..it just makes me furious.

This is why I can't get too wrapped up in condemning right now. And that's not to say I won't again, because you know me & I surely will just as sure as the sun will rise again, lol. But we're all our brother's keeper. And I can still love even though I don't like. And I can't leave Special holding the lone flag of support.

Maybe I'll end up the big fool, but when I experience something like what I'm experiencing now, it changes how you feel inside. At least right now it does. And it hurts really bad so I just try not to think about it. So, I just can't come on here & bag on these guys. It's just not in me right now. I'll take it out on the rags and the PR people. Heck, Reese as well, that's not as hard to do. But just not the guys.

Anyway, unless something just catastrophic happens.

Don't you love how I can never, ever just commit to a feeling 100%, lol. I always leave that door open just a weeeeee crack to make a dodging escape. Hey, at least I admit it.
;)

'Nite.

(((PG))). And I agree PG, that NE cover on Swayze just seems wrong to me--I saw it out of the corner of my eye and turned away. I don't know if that is the magazine, or him wanting to try and show people he's still fighting, but I just can't bear to see things like that, it seems exploitive.

Finally got to see last night's OTH, while waiting for my gf to come back from the airport with her mom, who is visiting for the next week. I just love seeing Austin, or even just hearing his voice, I could easily just close my eyes and just listen. Good to see he's getting so much love in the comments at JJ--and what is up with always describing him as Jake's bff?

And NOOOO, I don't want to see Peyton go, I really love her on the show too, her, Austin and Sophia are my favorites. From her bit on her blog, and some of the comments, I get the sense that she got fired because of CMM being fired/leaving, more than it was her looking for more money. :-(

I think it will be a miracle if they get the votes in the NY Senate, another reason to feel sad.....

Sienna said...

PG... I'm so sorry about your dad. I must've missed you telling about his cancer earlier because this is the first i knew of it. It is such a scary thing, regardless of the prognosis. I will be sending you and him and all your family extra good wishes and hope for healing and strength. Sickness wears you down, no matter how much you want to be there and take care of everything.

And i hear what you're saying about Jake and Austin, and i agree with that as well. While i'm rather disheartened with Jake right now, it just feels wrong to turn on him when he's meant so much to me for so long. On the other hand, I'm so ill about the Reeking that it's hard to put that out of my head. So i know what you mean - Jaking is definitely a topsy-turvy sport right now, but we're all still here, doing it, so that has to mean something.

Take care. Big hugs. Love S!

If Jake was carrying the Wholefoods bags in Brentwood to cook for Reese, then who was he carrying the bags in WeHo for? :)

I too would be happy to see PoP flop. It would be a message to Jake that bearding doesn't work.
Haven't seen anything in PoP yet to set it apart from all the other Dessert movies.
Won't be seeing any Jake movies either.

flf, sure, you live up to your name. If you don't care about a movie fine, but boycotting someone's work based on 'gossip' and nothing substantial is truly worth of your name. Keep it up! Same holds for Clarity and Tom, who appears on one hand still not knowing if Jake or Ted is a liar, but in the meantime he is not going to see any of Jake 's movie just in case ... wonder if he still read Ted's column or is boycotting that too! The comments on JJ about Austin are really sweet. I love that he works so hard and is getting the recognition he deserves.

Jake: the boy pings loudly on the gaydar in the interview and Jerry gushing about his body doesn't help.

An American consumer said...

My money, my time. Both of which are solely at my disposal. If I chose not to plunk either down on a movie that has neither a plot/story/genre that interests me, nor star that I wish to promote, that is a perogative I will certainly exercize.

From the packaging of PoP thus far, whilst shopping for entertainment this consumer will most definitely leave it on the shelf.

Attempting to insult those who will do the same is petty and childish. But, from the packaging of Jake thus far, and the ilk of fans that it attracts, I shouldn't be surprised.

Clarity said...

"but boycotting someone's work based on 'gossip' and nothing substantial.."

Sorry but the way I feel about this has nothing to do with gossip. It's solely based on Jake himself and things that I have seen him do in the past 2 years with my own eyes. I'm speaking only for myself of course.
