King of the Hill / Four Now

With the departure of Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton on One Tree Hill does that mean that Austin will be King of the Hill?

Will Mark Schwann move Brooke, Nathan & Haley, Mouth & Milli storylines to be he main focus or will he really shake it up and throw the focus on the two new characters and Julian's return to Tree Hill as the main storyline? It does look like Austin has gained the fans and the confidence of Mark to be the go-to guy and the new face of One Tree Hill. And lucky for us - there will be a real push in promotion with Austin in interviews and talk shows. (fingers crossed)

Again the question is what will Julian do in Tree Hill? And while he and Brooke look like they are together and in love in the preview for the season finale, life can not be that easy in the small town with big drama. Will Mark let them be happy, let Brooke find love and be the mother she wants to be? Can he really have another lead get pregnant or will there be a more dramatic One Tree way for her to become a mother?

One thing for sure - it's great that we will be getting to see Austin every week. And here's hoping that this will lead to seeing him more and more to him on screen.

And for now - it looks like 4 is Jake's number for 2009.
He came in at number 4 - in this year's Hot 100 on AfterElton. While he's not King of the hill this year, 4 is not bad and as AfterElton.com says: "This isn’t to say Jake isn’t still smokin’ hot – he still manages to clock in at #4, after all. And don’t forget, Jake hasn’t had a movie released since 2007 and he still managed to beat out all but three other men in the entire world. That’s some residual heat he’s got going. ...But something tells us that come next year, Jake will have a good shot at regaining his Hot 100 crown."

Congrats to Neil Patrick Harris who was #1 this year but there was one name that was left off that hopefully next year will be on the list next year. Where are you Mr. Nichols? That stare, and delivish grin are just a start of the reasons for him to be on it. And it would be great to see Austin and Jake both on this one. Caliente!!!

We hear that Lionsgate is releasing Brothers, December 4th in the U.S. Giving it a good position for the Oscar race. It is a long a wait before we get to see Jake on screen again, but it shows Lionsgate's confidence about Brother's chances for possible nominations. Could 4 be a lucky number again for Brothers too, with maybe 4 Oscars, at least 4 noms?

On his way to report for a peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, Army officer Sam Cahill stops to pick up his brother Tommy, who is getting out of jail that day. In Afghanistan, Sam’s helicopter crashes and he is presumed dead. Tommy and Sam’s wife Grace discover that they don’t hate each other as much as they had thought, and Tommy decides to reform and make himself useful around Grace’s house. Then Sam comes home with a full-blown case of post traumatic stress disorder because of what he had to do to survive in captivity. What will happen?>

With a cast that includes Jake, Tobey and Natalie along with Sam Shepard, with Jim Sheridan putting his own touch of Irish or Irish American to the Danish remake, its safe to say 4 might be too small for a lucky number for Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG, and the DGA. And Jake's ex-con might not just steal Natalie's heart but the critics and audiences as well.

It looks like our fall will be filled with both Austin and Jake and all the way through the end of the year.

Good morning you all, I am surely the first woken here and how I would love to bring you few sunshine but alas the sky is grey and the rain is about to fall.

I see the mood is grey here too.
Right now my first thoughts go to Prairie Girl, hope the sun will shine again for you and your father.

I passed few days with friends. Good to be back and yet… I was so glad to see them again after so long time. We went in the north of France, to Versailles ! yes the palace !
It’ was like a dream. Spring is the right season to pay a visit because the crowd of tourists is still tolerable and the park is wonderful with it colored flowers freshly born.
It was the occasion to play the guide also lol , my friends playing tourists and judging my knowledge about Versailles’s history. Really funny moment.
Then we hoped to see Marie- Antoinette’s phantom cause some claim to have caught sight of her!! Oh well here is surely few jokers playing us lol

Then we went to Paris, of course. You can’t visit Versailles and forget Paris, impossible!!!

An other dream came true since I walked on the majestuous stairs of Opera Garnier. I feeled like a queen or the first dancer of the ballet, I didn’t choose yet lol but I feeled good. What incredible place. A real pleasure for the eyes cause of a flamboyant decor and a magical atmosphere like if the time was in abeyance.
How I would want to work there and long for “the Phantom” every evening after curtainfall lol

But for now it seems to be the Prince of Persia I have to long for !!! Why not associating Prince, me and Opera Garnier ??? could be a good script. The poor prince lost in the opera and me (exclusively) for guide! Ok have to be back on earth. lol

More seriously I love the pic where he faces to the desert with the princess behind him, panorama very natural and quite Romanesque. Oddly it could be good, at least pleasant to watch even if I am not usually attracted to this kind of movie.

I am glad for Austin with OTH, it would be great if he became the leader of the show!!!

Elinor - Versaille and Paris in the springtime- oh you are making me jealous! Spring has come to Boston, and we are enjoy sunny days and May flowers. I can't even imagine walking down the staircase of the Opera Garnier. Talk about a making debut. Lucky you!!

I agree the scene with Dastan and the Princess on the horse is beautiful and shows the majesty of the story. I think Michael Newell understands that the beauty and mystery of the desert adds to the romance of the story.

I am really looking forward to Brothers because I want to see Jake play the bad boy ex-con who find redemptions, yet is challenged with right and wrong and what he wants, in this new life. I can see why Jake would want this part, any actor would.

Yes , at first I was surprised by the choice of Newell as director and now I think he may bring to the story more of sensitivity and subtility instead of doing an other big dumb movie aka Pirate of carabean.

"Brothers" interest me cause I want to see this duality between two brothers everything separate.
It's Abel and Caen story. Besides Tobey and Jake seems to have completely different personalities and in same time look alike a bit physicaly. I am curious to see the translation on screen, they are perfect for these role I think.
I expect emotional scenes between the three .

Elinor, I'm seriously enjoying hearing from you and the account of you trip to Versailles and Paris. Your turn of phrase is wonderful.

Special, I love the way you look at things, you have such a great talent for striking the right chord in this reader's most humble opinion. Brothers will be something to watch for and Austin should provide us with a higher profile from SOGO and OTH. (Don't you just LOVE acronyms !)

Prairie Girl, I don't think a day would be complete without some words from you. My best wishes and thoughts for you and your family.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in N.S. so time to get out and enjoy it, hope everyone can find happiness today.

Always...

Dear Mrs. Tooth:
Of course.

Thanks Seaweed for your sweet words, I am enjoying to hear from you too.

So Neil Patrick Harris is the new king of After Elton, after two years of reign it's not so bad for the Prince to end number 4.

Neil Patrick Harris has this funny charm which illuminate " how I met your mother" and he seems to be a good guy.

I am with you special k to speak up against the absence of Austin on the list! I hope he will be included next year, I am sure he will.
Just one thing , it's nasty but I am so happy the Brad Pitt and Co are far far far far behind LOL

Seeing all these pictures of Austin I realize how much he has changed in such a short time.

I also loved your description Elinor, you could be a travel writer.

Hi Elinor! I was wondering about you. So wonderful to hear you had a great time off with friends. I'll have to look up this Opera Garnier place. Is it a building, like an opera house because it sounds like maybe you were walking down a big, winding staircase or something. How romantic. It must've been just wonderful there.

And dear Seaweed, thanks for your words & caring thoughts. It's kind of lean times in the world of J&A right now, but there is still some news going on. Always great to see you visit and I hope you do get to enjoy the outdoors today.

Many thanks to everyone. I love you all and your thoughts, prayers, & well wishes just mean the whole world to me, I hope you know that. What a huge blessing friends are, you know? We humans just can't survive without love in our lives. It lifts us up when we really need it.

And I don't have any further insight to lend on this PoP because I still haven't seen any of the clips or interviews. I'll have to try tonight. But regarding someone's crit this morning, I don't see anything wrong with anyone withholding their financial support. It's a heart decision and it's a consumer decision, just like Consumer said this morning. As consumers, people have every right to not patronize something. It's one of the few ways one can speak out on something besides just verbally.

And, well, that's all I'll say about that. The Wells Blue Bunny Peach Passion yogurt is gone now after having to stare down at my lil' buddy's lunch, a slice of Papa Murphy's pizza. Man, talk about torture. She raves about this Papa Murphy's pizza. Says she doesn't have to add any extra ingredients to it. It was "The Cowboy". lol. Must be because it had all that meat on it: sausage, hamburger, pepperoni, & black olives. It has mushrooms, too, but she can't stand squishy, slimy foods so no mushrooms. I shake my head at her. "You're missing out," I told her.

We're supposed to have big storms this afternoon. My super came back from lunch & said it was humid & "gross" outside. That could be a bad sign. We'll see.

I don't know but thanks you Destiny , it's kind.

The clock shows 11h00 PM already. Too late for my poor eyelids which tend to close without my consent LOL

So I let you alas, and wish you for later a sweet night full of marvellous dreams. As for me, I am going to join my dear phantom at the top of the royal stairs for a other dance lol

I love this version of Amazing Grace - thanks Wicked.

And yeah Dest you can see how much Austin has changed in the last few years. Jake has too. It amazes me how guys mature at like 16 and then again 26-27. Then they hit 40 and change again.

And Congratulations to comedian Wanda Sykes and her wife Alex who had twins (a boy and a girl) on April 27th!

People.

Wanda was the featured comedian at the Annual White House Correspondents dinner, this past weekend.

American consumer from the previous page, you choosing not to buy the product I have no problem with because you find it not appealing fine. Tom said he won't see it because of the 'reeking', maybe you should learn to read, it is not too late. The other poster who does not want to see the movie because of things she has seen Jake do with her own eyes ... I can only say LOL! And, once again, you despise him so much but cannot stop writing non stop about him and poking your nose in his life. Maybe you seriously need a shrink.

I agree an opening in Dec means that someone must think that Brothers has some Oscar potential. So far i still just see comments like outsider and slight chance though. I think we better be careful what we wish for because if Jake is an Oscar nom or Oscar winner in 2010 we all know who the star will be that night. It wont be a tall Texan it will be a short blonde from South Carolina.

Hand and hand down the red carpet.

Interview as they walk in where reese answers most of the questions.
A kiss as Jake walks up to pick up his trophy.
And best yet Jake thanks the love of his life the one who means everything to him. The one who changed his life. Again he wont be talking about Austin.

Be careful what we wish for.

Let me say this laud and clear for anyone who wants to hear it. I will not support Jake in any movie he makes. I am sick of his antics and dont even believe he is a nice person anymore. From sticking it to Heath and to that index finger of his I have had it. If someone doesnt like it. Let me say TOUGH.
I can come on this blog all I want to and talk about it. I still consider this an Austin and Jake community. My community on the internet. Will I be happy if we ever see the old Jake again. You bet I will. Right now I think the odds are slim we will.

Megan Fox has just come out as bisexual. Her comments are a little weird but good for her.

I hope no one else feels that is not ok to be angry with who Jake is right now. I also feel like some may feel that if you are not happy you will not be allowed to celebrate if things change. To you I say. Suck an egg:-) Like I already said I am not holding my breath for any big breakthroughs but I will be pleased when jake admits he is gay. It will take tons of visits to a new competent therapist for that.

If I see a post I think has been deliberately made to stir, I won't bother replying.

"Whartever", without calling yourself different names for all the posts you make, why don't you pick something like: Saccharine Faker, and stick to it?

People can say whatever they want as long as they respect other people and other people's opinions.

OMG has many differences of opinions, thoughts, and feelings. It is about have a opportunity to share yours while letting other share theirs. You may not agree with some or even all, but we can all agree to have space to say them equally.

Jake is not going to win an Oscar in 2010--I doubt he'll even be nominated. Toby, on the other hand...

That's great about Wanda Sykes and Meg Fox. Someone interviewed in the movie Outrage I saw earlier this week said that if every single person in the country came out, the gay civil rights movement would be over because it would no longer be needed. While I think you will never get rid of all the homophobes and problems, I do think there is a lot of truth in that statement.

I just went and saw Waiting for Godot--or Oh My Godot as I kept calling it, LOL. Having not seen the play in probably 15 years, I have to say the use of the name Godot is more apt than the day you first started the blog Special and Wicked. I found myself thinking of what we go through here a time or two, and perhaps felt more sympathetic than I have in the past to the characters.

Funny how the person who is always telling us we shouldn't be telling Jake how to live his life is telling us how to spend our money.
