Life moves pretty fast

Some days just you have to go the happy place.

How to do that?

More Austin in the John Hughes homage.

Or is that a Cheap Trick?

My momma used to say white makes you look bigger, but seriously are those two Carnival Cruise Ships Austin's wearing for shoes?

Julian thinks he was a dork in high school. Now you be the judge.

Julian:

Austin:

You know who Austin is and what John Hughes movie he's from, but the here's your challenge, who is Jana (Alex) dressed up as and from what John Hughes movie?

And something else to ponder if Austin is Duckie, what John Hughes character would you cast Jake as?

And congratulations to Jake's two time co-star Anne Hathaway who is Hasty's Pudding's Women of the Year. Anne's parade through the streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts is this afternoon and this evening she will be receiving her pudding pot.

I do wonder what the boys will do for Brokeback in their presentation and skit for her.

Those are some wild shoes and socks. Looks like a mix of Michael Jackson, hobo chic and clowns. I love it.

Jake could be Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles? I love John Hughes' movies, particularly The Breakfast Club.

Prairiegirl I think you missed the point. "grapevine" is trying to scare posters into silence by saying that anyone who believes in BT, is considered a stalker:

Pfffft!! That's me sometimes! Sorry, I may have missed it. We're not stalkers. For cryin' out loud. We're discussers. That's hardly stalking. And you don't need to spell out that long name of mine, ok? :-)

What I meant in my comment was that I wouldn't put it past some of the posters who are so adament about their scoffing and poking fun at those who do believe, to very well be from the guys' handling teams to discourage any further talk. I'm not saying anyone could be, I'm just saying it's very well possible.

I can understand not believing there's a baby. I can understand not believing that Jake & Austin are no longer together. Not any issue with stating that.

My issue is with those who don't believe in one or the other (or both) but just persist in arguing the point and insulting the intelligence of those who do believe.

To me, there's some further issue going on for those who feel compelled to just argue & argue the point and say that anyone who does believe is looney, delusional, fanfic reader, etc.

That is where I see something else going on with that individual.

And I can see the hint to change the subject so sorry to bring it up again. But we're crazy here @ work and I couldn't get on here until now.

I thought I was dogsitting this weekend but alas, it was cancelled. I'm kind of relieved but I'm sad that I'm not going to get to see Nikki & Puddy. Because soon I will be on a 4-week dogsitting tour. 3 weeks straight of watching an English bulldog named Curly and then right after that, I will just go right over to the wiener house and watch Libs, Barks, and little crazy Maizie.

Sorry for the 3 posts in a row. Everyone must be worn out from commenting.

I love Austin as duckie. Love the Carnival cruise ships reference, Special. LOL. Hey, my foot isn't any dainty thing, I know that. Totally identify.

I have no idea who Alex is supposed to be. How about Lea Thompson in that movie with Mary Stuart Masterson? I can't remember what it's called. Mary Stuart plays a tough girl who drives a limo. That's who Alex kind of looks like there.

Why does my lunch hour go so fast? Time to go back and hit the bricks. Hope it's a quiet day today because I need to write tonight.

Ol' Tommy is leaving behind his Florida moniker and headed back to becoming JerseyTom. Be careful on the highways, Tom!!!

And now I bid adieu.

Four week tour, why does that make me think of Gilligan's Island. Wrong amount of time I know, but still...you better come back from that dogsitting island PG. And I know I've said it before, but I love that name "Puddy" for a dog.

Speaking of disappearing acts, Jake is sure keeping out of sight. Not in LA? Trying to rebuild some mystery?

^^ Now this is what you call Troll behavior! A person so obsessed with anothers life that they continuously cruise the internet seeking information on someone then try to use it to DESTROY someone, no matter if the information is true or not. Yes I said destroy for their own satisfaction. These are the same people who claim to be a fan, to want fairness in their lives, but are blinded by a form or hate and self motivation to destroy another. The people who just seem to take lite jabs at people (called a troll) are all over the internet doing the same thing. But nothing and nobody is hurt and just a passing phase for most.

Gathering up bogus or unsubstantiated information on someone, then trying to get it printed by tabloids just so you can (sit back and gloat) with Glee that someone has been outed and your cause has been met, is the most self righteousness, self absorbed self centered human being there is. And this is what the Jake is gay and babytile fans are about.

Now Prairiegirl can give her views of whats a troll is, but is she really one to assess this? I say no. Because she is impartial to Some on this board who are mean, say what They want to say and practice troll tactics also. She says nothing to them. Like High school BS They are also the ones who have want to see the downfall of the guy. And if she feels the same way and wants to damage someones career, someone she nor her friends actually know, then she is Troll also.
Send information to the Tabloids
What a bunch of silf righteous disturb Jerks.

Good evening everybody,

Thanks you very much special K for posting these incredible pics of Austy. Even with this "singular" outfit he keeps on the class he uses to have.
"Looks like a mix of Michael Jackson, hobo chic and clowns. I love it."
You nailed it Destiny If I dare to say lol

But curiously, it's definitely something Heath would have been wore. Austy is Ledgeresque here which is a good think.

Special k, I am eager to see "Brothers" to share with you my impressions, for now the reviews are great. I'm almost surprised to notice the little gap between my country and anglosaxon area. Are french critics more sensitive face to the movie? more touched by the will of Sheridan to translate the relationship complexity? or no one saw the original lol!

seriously, Jim is very loved here and respected, that explains a lot I guess. ok it would be cool if jake come in "le grand journal" great TV show, like he did in cannes for Zodiac!

Hey prairie girl, happy to hear you and hope everything is ok for you.
The opinion war about polemic subjects is gone really far, I know. Each one try to convince others he is right and what is obvious for one have to be for you. It's human nature, reason is irrelevant. Truely all things can happen in the limits of possible but some are harder to believe cause of others involved: morality, circonstancies and personal feelings can influence reflexion.

Well obviously some theories are sadly beyond the limits of possible. Few time ago, while I listened the nostalgic song of Harry Nilsson "remember" I fall on michael jakcson is still alive theories. I should laugh I guess but not,I was melancholic inside...I should blame it on Nilsson maybe or I just discover some can't let go their youth away.

prairiegirl said...

Hey elinor! Good to see you too. I'm going to be away a long time dogsitting but I really hope to be able to access an internet connection while I'm there.

Nilsson - now there's a name from the past. I remember him, elinor!

rediculous, what in the heck are you even talking about. I have no idea what you just said. Don't worry about repeating it, though, that's quite alright. Geesh.

Awwww - I love the first pic. And Haircut 100. I wonder where they are now?

I want to say apologies all around for my heated contributions to last night's convo! I just don't like being compared to a stalker, nor our discussions or an innocent baby pic that is simply being admired. I wasn't sure what happened last night. I always say I'm not going to get p*ssed off and yet I always do. Special, I don't know how you keep your sanity and your cool.

My name is because I always say "I don't know anything for sure, but . . ."

In Touch Exclusive:
Bradley Cooper is ring shopping!

What started out as a summer fling may end with a quickie engagement ring! According to an insider, after dating for just six months, Renée Zellweger and boyfriend Bradley Cooper are planning to walk down the aisle. “Bradley has fast-tracked the romance and he’s ready to get married,” explains the insider, who adds that a wedding will take place sooner than later. In fact, the Hangover star is so eager to tie the knot, that before appearing on Late Show with David Letterman on January 7, Bradley took the time to shop for a ring in New York. “He already has a setting he likes, but he visited various jewelers on 47th Street, including I. Friedman & Son, to look for a stone,” the insider reveals. The actor even went alone so he wouldn’t draw attention to himself. “He wore a hat and dark glasses and just walked right in.” The couple, who have each been married before, may be moving fast, but that doesn’t mean that Bradley, 35, won’t pop the question in a traditional way. “He is old-fashioned,” the insider says. “He’ll probably get down on one knee and propose in a romantic setting — and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on Valentine’s Day.”

^^I was going to bold the parts identical to the Reeke stories but shit, there's too many. It would have been all bolded.

Author J.D.Salinger passes away at age 91

JD Salinger, one of the greatest authors in American literature passed away at his home in NH.

Salinger is probably best known for writing Catcher in the Rye, but also authored Franny & Zooey and collection of short stories titled Nine Stories.

Jake was a huge fan of Salinger talking about reading Catcher in the Rye as well as Franny & Zooey,a in which he said he would go back and read again and again. Maggie gave him his first Salinger book. He named his production company Nine Stories after Salinger's collection.

Jake even played a character in Good Girl who was obsessed with Catcher in the Rye, and renaming himself Holden.

J.D. Salinger was a recluse and very protective of his work. After having one short story early in his career adapted for television, he vowed he would never allow any of his work every again be brought to screen.

It will be interesting to see if now after his death, that some of his work will come to the screen, and wonder if Jake will try to bring some of it himself.

Jake cast in John Hughes movies

Breakfast Club - Andrew, the wrestler played by Emilio Estevez

Weird Science- Yeah you would say Wyatt, but think Jake as Garry would be much more fun.

And call me crazy but I could totally see him as Ferris Bueller. Maybe because I could picture him wearing a leopard vest and singing Danke Schoen on a float with a German girls and then getting all of Chicago to do Twist and Shout. Besides I think he could pull off being Abe Froman the Sausage King of Chicago.

Austin is Duckie. And kudos to getting the look down right to the pegged pants and white shoes.

If they were casting it now, ok a Hughes wouldn't cast him as Duckie but would cast him as Steff, (James Spader) Blane's snotty richie rich friend in Pretty in Pink.

prairiegirl said...

You are correct, My Mantra, you didn't take jabs at anyone, just kind of blasted yesterday's original post.

My comment kind of came out a little disjointed. I meant what I said in regard to how a trollish comment comes out; yours didn't exactly fit that bill, but it did come out rather angry.

And I'll take the heat again for saying this, but unless I know for sure who I'm talking to, you risk my suspicion. Sorry, that's just how it is and I'm not going to change on that.

That's probably a wrong attitude but I have no choice when I can't "see" who I'm talking to. I'm going purely on the comment and how it comes across to me.

Was the comment itself trollish? In 20/20 hindsight? For the most part, no. The harsh criticism of Special's post was what made me suspect. I reckon I would sound like a troll sometimes/alot of times, who knows if I were to come on here under some made up temporary name. If I use my regular name, doesn't even have to be registered but just one I would use most of the time, people at least would know I wasn't a hostile visitor. Might not agree at all with what I said, might not like at all what I said, might just absolutely detest & hate what I said, but at least there's no doubt who's saying it.

And I love temporary names when they tie in with what the comment is about or maybe the mood one is in at that moment.

But if there's a serious statement to be made, a very opinionated one? I just think one ought to own up to it and I've never understood why someone is afraid to do that. I'm sure not going to lamblast somebody I "know".

But before somebody goes on the usual "PG, quit telling people how to think, what to say, quit bullying people, quit, quit quit with it", I'm going to say that this is merely a wish list of mine and certainly nobody needs to respect my opinion or pay any heed to it whatsoever.

It's just that. My opinion on how I feel about it.

Does that make any sense at all to anyone? Yeah alright, on second thought, don't answer that. lol.

I'm off to write and maybe put up another chap.

Hope there's no hard feelings on my statement, MM.

^^No hard feelings at all - I probably was a bit too harsh yesterday. I don't mind an honest comment or honest criticism like yours, and of course people disagree. I apologize to Special.

I know Special and probably many others too will want to kill me for saying this, but I never saw "Pretty in Pink".
So I wanted to know who Duckie is and googled it.
One of the hits was kind of funny and I wanted to share it:

ducky, duckie [ˈdʌkɪ] Informal
n pl duckies
Brit darling or dear: used as a term of endearment among women, but now often used in imitation of the supposed usage of homosexual men

charybdis said...

Let me just say that Austin as Duckie is absolutely hilarious. It's as if he spent an hour or two in his Accessories Stash trying to see how many things he could include in a single outfit. (OK, I know he was surely outfitted by the OTH costume department, but it's fun to imagine Austin doing this look on his own).

destiny said...

Happy Birthday Adam!

m said...

Austin looks so cute in that outfit. Looks like it will be a fun episode. Is this the first time we've seen his characters last name. I think so. About time after hearing the words Brooke Davis ad nauseam.

The baby tile discussion sure has people riled up. I think whoever sent stuff to the rags went too far, but to each his own. Good chance they will ignore it anyway. But really, its only a matter of time before the secret is discovered. Between Jake wanting to be outed and hiding a child, he is sitting on a time bomb of his own making.

prairiegirl said...

I don't agree with sending this information out to anyone, even Ted. Ted's not going to use it; he already knows.

I don't like the idea of sending it out to any magazine. I just would not want to be responsible for anything unfortunate to happen, whatever it might be.

No, I don't agree with what Jake & Austin are doing. But I'm not so callous as to wish any harm or unwanted attention to anyone, least of all that little baby.

I love discussing it. I love speculating. I wish we were free to do all of that we wanted.

I'm not going to tell anyone what to do, though. That's up to whoever wants to do it. But I'm out of it. It's a really serious matter, not because of Jake. Not because of Austin. They're two fully grown men who need to deal with any reaping from what they've sown. I'm out of it because of that little baby, who didn't ask for any of this and is a totally innocent bystander.

prairiegirl said...

And Ted could prove me totally wrong, LOL! We'll see.

I swear to pete. No one around here takes a full lunch anymore. I will be so, so glad when this whole ordeal is over. Visitors all over the place. Can't even take a quiet, solo lunch anymore.

Crabby, aren't I?

Hey, m!! Did you see?????

Vic is back!!! Victopet!!!! IPS!!!!! Oh yeah, I forgot, you're not reading that one, though, are you? She hasn't put out a new chapter, she just put up a post saying she would have more time to write. Awesome news!!

I'd be crabby too PG if people didn't give me a few minutes of peace at lunch. I heard the weather was bad again in the Midwest, hope you're not getting any of it. It is freezing here, zero with the windchill.

I wouldn't send that stuff to any magazines or Ted either, though I have no issues with someone outing Jake and Austin given the Reeking and lying. Could be someone who feels he should be outed too, or could be someone trying to make BT believers look bad.
