Back in the fall Austin was seen with Sophia for a couple of other events. He was asked why he was there.
"To be honest, I'm here to drink the free tequila and come to the Hammer Museum because I'm an art lover," he explained of why he happened to be at the event. "I'm just here to enjoy the party!"
When asked specifically if he was Sophia's date for the night (which he was so obviously was), he wouldn't confirm or deny the hookup.

Jake was out shopping in West Hollywood before Christmas at Douglas Fir that is known for men's accessories and he did have some jewelry sized boxes.

It was gorgeous dress and she knocked everyone out. That corally pink was a great color on her.

Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols showed up to a party. I was shocked. Now, let me say this to begin. They appear to be very happy and very in love. He was constantly holding her hand, they were totally giving off the love vibe. My dead grandmother knew that they were in love. Saying that, there is a limit. No one is that in love in my opinion. I mean, there is "in love" and there is "see how much in lover we are." In my opinion, I think she and her good friend Daneel have a lot more in common. I mean, Jensen, Jared, Austin....it sound's like a list of....well you draw your own conclusions.

I finally looked at all the pictures and Sophia's dress. Have I ever mentioned that I hate orange. It's one of the reasons I don't enjoy Halloween. Disliked it forever, even as a child. You will have to search long and hard to find anything orange in my house, except fruit, and even that stays in the refrigerator. Those earrings were totally wrong too.
Austin's fashion sense is quirky, but usually appropriate to the occasion. He had to dress like that to make a statement - ie I am just here because I have to be. I wonder if he would have been there at all had it not been for Ted calling him out last week, so maybe it was short notice. As to gossip boys take, I am sure that the fake romance performance was done for the sake of Ted. I wonder what would happen if Jake, Austin and Ted all showed up at the same party.
I do think a bit of bearding won't hurt Austin. He has an advantage in that he and Sophia are about the same in age, education and stature. Both single, no kids. Reese made Jake look like a wimpy momma's boy.
There is no question that Jake lost his fan base. Even the babblers seem to be at a loss now that Reese is gone. Not sure what type of fans,if any, he will get out of POP.

Why are Jake & Austin pushing the panic button like this? Who was fooled by Reeke? Soccer moms and generally, oblivious Joe or Jane Q Public. And at that, I doubt whether they even cared much about either star except to see what they were up to and then it was on to the next story.
Sophin started out exactly how Reeke did. I certainly hope we're not going to have the two going to Rome, Cabo, Paris, endless window seat restaurant pics, endless coffee trips, a Laker game and a yogurt trip.

Like I said, this is exactly how Reeke started and remember how alot of people were with Reeke, explaining away everything at the beginning until it mushroomed into that grand spectacle. Hard to say where Sophin is going if indeed it is going anywhere, though. Too early.

Re Austin and Sophia, like I said yesterday, I think Austin wants a bit of payback for the public humiliation he endured during Reeke. I view Teds's comment as giving them some rope to play with. I hope you are fine. I am glad to be back even if I am not in a good mood. There are some things who recall you life isn't a party of pleasure sometimes and to be honest I dream to be in a far far away island with nobody around me, no sorrow, no pain. Just the coconuts, the warm sand and the turquoise sea! is too much to ask?
And then I come here and I see the wonderful austin, weirdly dressed I must say but handsome nontheless with the charming and sweet sophia, standing proudly on the red carpet... and then I wonder what to think. They are well matched and cute. For now I still think there is a great complicity between them nothing more but I fear the doubt come into my mind soon and I hate that.

It's questionable if The Gossip Boy is legit. He claims to be an actor working in the industry but I am not sure if he is real. The info on his twitter seems mostly lifted from old internet gossip (Glee actor caught kissing a guy posted on ONTD ages ago for example). He tweeted he saw Austin and Sophia at the party exactly two minutes after Ted posted it on his twitter. He claimed to be at the Golden Globes and posted a pic that seemed to be taken from the TV and later deleted it when someone said it was false. I believe Ted over The Gossip Boy.
Well yeah but aren't Ted and Gossip Boy saying the same thing, that Bushnic is doing *sounds like a beer* beard lite?
