ReSource Room

So much Source Code that this post is even getting written in Chicago. Talk about resourceful. Although it took longer than 8 minutes.

With the premiere on Friday at SXSW, more clips and interviews are coming to source out.

Here are two new clips.

The Kiss

What Would You Do ( Well maybe have someone look at the head wound Jake)

Here's an interview with Jake

Part 1

Part 2

And want a behind the scenes look at Source Code

Talk about filming in close quarters.
And didn't even recognize Russell Peters.

Source Code room. Pod or geodesic hamster ball?

And a special treat for Duncan - "Alamo Drafthouse & Mondo present the Duncan Jones “Director’s Series” with two prints from world renowned artist, Olly Moss."

Moss recreated posters for both Source Code and Moon. Looks like Austin(TX) likes Dunkin Duncan (sorry coffee joke - hey it's mornings, coffee required)

Can help but mention again that Jake will be the lead in "End of Watch", a gritty drama about partners on the LAPD force. Set to film in 2012, it definitely works into the schedule, just in case OTH has nine lives.

Think he wants the paps to spot him? Or just being a good do-bee and wearing neon safety wear to run on the road.

Hey Atti good to see ya!

Thanks for all the links Special. Guess the gates to the promo flood have been flung wide open. It will probably take me awhile to get around to watching them all.

Growing up part of the time, deep in ACC country, I know how big the Duke/UNC rivalry is. Wonder who Austin is rooting for? His Longhorns have were 8th in the standing last time I looked.

Looking at the B-Roll stuff you can see how well Duncan and Jake got along and how there was a sense of working together, not just Duncan telling Jake what to do.

Jake looked like was having a lot of fun on this shoot.

And man there were some really cramped sets. And I seriously didn't recognized Russell Brandt at all and I've been a fan of his from a long time.

Oops I should have said Russell Peters.

It has been a long day with leaving for the airport at 4:15 this morning.

Where is everyone today? Enjoying the great weather, I guess. It was nice here most of the day, but its raining now. I guess we are in the final lull before the Source Code promo starts in earnest. Reviews will flow right after the premiere. Fingers crossed for good reviews. Thanks for all those clips, Special. They were great to watch.

m, please don't be sending that rain this a'way, okay? LOL - man, we have had enough. The ground is mighty saturated. One good thing - the flowers should come up in all of their awesome beauty, that's for sure.

While I'm not wild about that wild yellow of Jake's jacket, I am thankful for one thing. It's not black, navy, or grey. Anytime this boy is not wearing those 3 colors, I will get down on the ground and thank fashion designers everywhere. So I will take the yellow, take the yellow! Think maybe he was feeling a little adventuresome that day, a little daring.

And can't forget the Buster Brown grey socks. LOL!!! Forgoing the usual color coordinated no-show anklets, Jake seems to have sprung for the Buster Brown look. LOVE it! Still showing off the gams which are unmatched in HW. And still --- color coordinated.

You know, it's kind of distressing to see someone like Charlie Sheen being indulged by the media at this point. Breaking the Guinness record for reaching a million followers in Twitter, being parodied on late night talk & SNL (I had to watch and yeah, it was hilarious. Unfortunately!! Why did I even watch it? To laugh, I guess), and I hear there's even a Tshirt out there that says Winning!

So now I think he is being outrageous just to gain notoriety and fame. His dad Martin Sheen - how this must hurt him. And this is what pains me - not what CS is doing to himself and the pain that he must have deep down inside himself, but what it does every day to his parent. I don't know who his mom is but I know Martin is his dad and is a well respected man.

For a parent to see their child be ridiculed and to make a spectacle of them self, be involved in substance abuse, prostitutes, all of the darkness that surrounds that guy, it's just heartbreaking to see a parent have to watch that.

At this point, CS will have to just hit rock bottom or something tragic will happen before he probably feels compelled to do something about this self-destructive path he is on.

And meanwhile, America revels in his self-disintegration. I read an article on the internet about why we Americans watch these kinds of trainwrecks and one of the reasons the author gave was that watching these types of people, i.e. Charlie, Lindsey Lohan, etc., is that people will feel better about themselves.

Their lives don't look so bad when they look at this kind of nonsense.

Perhaps that is how it is for some of Jake's followers, do you reckon? You have to wonder. It gives some a feeling that hey, I thought I had it bad but he's got it worse. At least I can live out in the open, free as a bird, I have a good job, I'm not having sex out in an alley by a dumpster, having to date someone I don't want to etc., etc. Does it make some feel superior or something like that? Give them a boost?

Me, I just get sad. I get frustrated watching someone deny themselves. And I get insulted sometimes. But it doesn't make me feel superior or glad that he and Austin are choosing to live a life in the closet.

You can't make someone see the path they are on. They have to swallow that thing called pride or draw the line at false loyalty. A person cannot be helped if they do not want to help him or her self. All you can do is just hope that they do eventually see and make some changes.

Until Jake gets himself out of the clutches of his people and probably his mom, I just don't know what's ahead. Heck, maybe it's Austin too who is keeping them in the closet. It's hard to tell.

I still think Jake's PR strategy has worked. While the internet guys like us still think he is Gay, I think to the general public who are not into celebs life or gossip no longer see him as the Gay Cowboy.

I can remember how much BBM was made fun of on Sports Talk in Philadelphia. I recently heard Jake's name mentioned as one of the up and coming actors in HW on WIP. I also heard a DJ refer to him as a really cool guy. So he is not a laughing stock to those type of folk. The guy who mentioned Jake on WIP is openly Homophobic and when he picked Jake out of a group of young actors who will replace the likes of DiNiro, Pacino and Nicholson I was floored.
I doubt that man saw any of Jakes movies so why did Jake's name come up. Good PR.

prairiegirl said...

And I don't pin all the blame on Jake's people although it has to partly be them who is feeding to Jake that he needs to be cemented in a closet. Even a glass closet would be awesome at this point. I would support him and Austin in that. It's this over the top hetero shoving down the public's throat when that is not who he truly is. And both he and Austin have shoved it down the public's throats. They don't get how insulting that is - like I'm stupid or something. Which I'm not.

Jake is willingly participating. He is the one who is opening his mouth with all of the nonsense he uttered while promoting LAOD. Did he honestly really believe in half of what he was sputtering? Why? Why did he say some of that stuff?

I think there's a part of Jake that doesn't like that he's gay. I think there's a part of him who wishes he were hetero. Austin, too. Because it's all about the ovaries for these two guys. All about the ovaries. Ovaries or bust.

If they felt positive and confident about how they were born, they wouldn't turn their backs on the gay community like they are. And one can say the "right" things on Twitter all one wants. But once you have used that same venue to utter lies about your "woman" and used it to mislead about your whereabouts or push a false relationship, all of those other positive reinforcements about gay rights goes right out the stinkin' door.

Do their families give them any kind of positive reinforcement at all about being fine just the way they are and maybe to think about stopping the false public life? It sounds like Austin's parents are very common America and his dad is very proud of him. I just wonder how they feel about their son's kids being hidden as they are. Will they continue to support it the longer it goes on? Or will it give their stomach the inner twists while they smile on the outside?

Jake's family seems to be a whole different story to me. I just don't know about that lot.

prairiegirl said...

I still love the guys, don't get me wrong. Still love both of them and that they didn't go the Orlando Bloom route to have their family.

But I tell you what. For how much longer are they going to hide these children? As BT1 approaches their 4th birthday, I have to wonder for how much longer.

Will BT be denied the chance to be able to go to ballgames at Fenway Park out in the open with his Dad or Papa? Will he be able to be seen going to Birdie's birthday party along with the other kids or will he be sneaked in via a back door and distracted by Ramona?

Right now, BT still doesn't notice that all kinds of shenaniggans, maneuvers, and outside assistance are needed to hide their identity and activity. Papa has taken care of that with the dark tinted windows, the literal forest that surrounds their California home, and who knows what else. Perhaps flying separately, flying with the nanny under a pretense that the nanny is his mother and not Jake or Austin, and I am sure payoffs of paparazzi.

Right now, BT doesn't know what's going on. But once those kids reach 4 or 5, do not underestimate a child's smarts. They begin to think for themselves and they see. These kids see and they are very, very clever. They're observant.

I will never forget being blown away by some of the things and just amusing yet spot on bluntness that came out of my nephew & niece's mouths. Austin and Jake will find out as their kids talk more and more. They will learn.

In the meantime, I will root for what Jake undoubtedly wants - which is a movie career that involves action and heroism, etc. For whatever reason, he is bound and determined to be an action star. And I hope he can do it. If that is what he wants and if he can do it, then go for it!!

I'm there. If it just is not what he does best, may he see that and return to his indie roots or maybe comedy. He seems to do comedy very well.

And Austin - well, if OTH is what he wants for a season 9, well.....

LOLLL!! I'm sorry, i just can't gush about that. And if it's going to mean another year of stupid Sophin, I am not there. I will trash that show for as long as I'm alive and blogging.

If he's going to push it because the family needs another paycheck, then I will support it. Heaven knows, we all know in this economy what it means to have a steady job. And shame on me for criticizing his choice if that is the reason why he wants a season 9.

We all need a job to pay this gas @ $3.39 a stinkin' gallon!! holy cow.

**sigh**. Sorry for all the airing out. It's been building and building! lol. And I'm sure it's not all out yet either but I need to write for a little bit before I lose my muse again.

the literal forest that surrounds their California home

You forgot to add: "that surrounds his THREE BEDROOM California home"

Now explain to me how that works if he has multiple BTs and live-in nannies.

Darn it, just lost my post before I could copy it. Will try it again.

ITA PG. I think Jake in particular, with his supposed escapades with women and his supposed attraction to public sex exhibits some of the same behavior as the Larry Craigs of the world--men who think being gay is a bad thing, to be hidden, and who would never even acknowledge to themselves that they are gay.

Bearding and lying is wrong when you do it just to make more money or get on the A-list--as opposed to being a scared teenager, or someone living or working in a place where they would be at physical risk. When someone like Jake and Austin does it, it says that money and social status matters more than personal integrity.

And before the troll jumps all over me, I AM NOT SAYING JAKE AND AUSTIN SHOULD COME OUT. I am saying they should stop with the bearding, the tabloid covers, the mushy Sophin nonsense that has fangirls who don't know better fooled, all the smoke and mirrors that goes into not looking like they are ever in the same state at the same time. It is wrong, especially if there is a BT.

Children in HW often have problems--look at Charlie Sheen, classic child of HW--but you add what Jake and Austin are doing, and you just know BT is going to be seriously fucked up.

If I thought it was for the love of acting I probably would tend to be less harsh. I think Jake and Austin do like what they do but I definitely think it much more about money and status.

I do think Jake loves acting and Austin as well. Looking at old pictures of both guys performing as far back as their school days, shows me that these guys must love what they do.

And I hear what you're saying, too. But I have to say that to criticize them for being ambitious or loving money would mean that same criticism needs to be directed at doctors, teachers, nurse's assistants, scientists, etc. because what do they do but have to go for their Masters and/or PhD's in order to reach their field. My brother went for his Masters so that he could move up on the teacher's pay scale and maybe move into the administrative part of the school system.

And why do people take extra schooling and get higher degrees if but to earn more money and move higher up on the career ladder.

I don't know, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to do well in one's career and stretch for success. More money so that you can provide for your family.

Now, that being said, a lot of professionals don't compromise their values and/or sell their souls out in the process either.

But that's an entirely different subject.

I was going to agree, Tom - Atticus did look a little full in his face in that picture but maybe it's the angle or something. lol. Awwww, poor Atticus. I'm just happy to see the him so I'm not going to pick on him.
