June Bugs

Jake, seen out yesterday at the doctor's
has gotten another member to the cast off EoW.

Frank Grillo tweeted this morning that he has signed on the cop drama which starts shooting July 6th. And from the tweet it look like it's confirmed that Anna is a lock as Jake's wife.

There seems to be last minute casting for the film. Not much time left to finish tying up the lose ends before the cameras start to roll. But enough time for a little hair to come in on the sides after Jake's latest haircut.

And a Saturday in June just calls for a little Wimbledon.

This is kinda funny.

I just had a wrong number call on my cellphone and the lady said my cell # was the one left in her voicemail. And then she asked, "Do you raise peacocks?"

LOLLL!! And I said no. Then she said a raccoon got a hold of a hen of hers and now she has a very lonely male.

Aw, I told her I hoped she can find a new hen.

Do you raise peacocks? lol. That's just kind of funny.

Just stood next to Jake Gyllenhaal on an insanely long line for coffee, so I think my La experience is complete. Someone get me back to LAX.

LOL PG, peacocks.

Thanks for the interview, love Ewan M. Beginners is already playing in NY and it got good reviews, it's on my "to see" list.

I think Neil and David live in LA most of the time because that is where How I Met Your Mother films, but they have a place here in NYC and have spent a lot of time here doing theater.

I would love to see Neil be Regis Philpin's replacement. "Neil and Kelly Live"

Secretly engaged for 5 years said...

Following the passage of the Marriage Equality Act in New York on June 24, 2011, Harris and Burtka announced their engagement via Twitter, stating that they had proposed to each other five years ago but kept the engagement secret until same-sex marriage became legal

I saw Ewan on Craig Ferguson about a month ago when he was talking about Beginners. (I've been a fan of Ewan's since Trainspotting)

I have seen some great reviews for it too and it is on my list of movies to catch.

At museums, he’s allowed to touch the art. . . . His blood smells like cologne. . . . Sharks have a week dedicated to him. . . . He once had an awkward moment, just to see how it feels. . . . The police often question him, just because they find him interesting.

Who are they describing? The Most Interesting Man in the World or Mr. Nichols? It's uncanny the similarity. ;)

Guess being named after a bourbon and a vodka was not enough for now he has to go for the beer.

Look out Glenfiddich Austin's coming for you next.

Dos Equis, huh? I think Jake and Austin still might be celebrating that NY vote. Might explain the 3 p.m. coffee stop too. ;-)

LOL. Yeah, right. Because Jake has been such an outspoken advocate for gay rights in the last few years.

Yes, we all know that Jake has not publicly supported gay rights since he presented the Vanguard Award to Jennifer Aniston at the GLAAD Awards in April 2007. Once he went into the closet that October and began his over the top bearding "act", he has been conspicuously MIA on the matter. Still, that doesn't mean that the guys are not thrilled regarding the historic vote to advance equal rights in NY.

Christopher Plummer plays Ewan's dad in that movie, Beginners. I think Christopher Plummer is still an attractive man and who knows how old he is now. But in that movie with Diane Lane & John Cusack about dogs (I can't remember the name of it), he played Diane Lane's dad and he was still so attractive.

Special K said...

The movie you're thinking of PG is "Most Love Dogs"

Well, to be "thrilled" about an advancement that only came about because of the hard work done by OUT members of the LGBT community and their supporters while they not only hid deep in the closet but actively bearded would make them cowards as well as hypocrites, imo.

Learn to read 12:06. All the comment focused on was how they were (Jake and Austin) probably happy at the outcome of the legislative victory in NY. Your hatred is not healthy. There are plenty of people in the closet who publicly lie about their identities. Do you hate all of them too? Gee whiz. Stop all the negativity.

The Graham Norton Show is coming on now on BBC America. This is the show he interviewed Bear Grylls about his new season and Bear talks a little about his adventure with Jake.

Oh my, Austin looks so young in that last picture. What a difference versus today.

So glad you posted that article about Ewan, PG. One of my favorite actors. Fearless in the same manner as Heath Ledger and always charmingly outspoken. I watched all of the episodes where he motorcycled through Africa and it felt like we really got to know the man. Beginners is on my must see list.

Great news about NPH and David Burtka. I'm so happy for them.

Poor trolly. Hes run out of things to talk about.

We booked our airfare to London and Paris today. We were supposed to go in May but since we were short staffed I had to postpone. But the trip is now back on the calendar for September.

Watched the Graham Norton show who's other guests were Cameron Diaz and Kathy Griffin. Graham interviewed them all together which proved interesting and very funny.

Bear did say that it was the worst weather in Iceland in 10 yrs, and that the winds were so strong that it pushed a jet parked on the ground sideways. He said that Jake did great on the adventure.

One of his survival tips was how to use what you had to filter water for drinking and proceeded to show how. Cameron and Kathy tasted the "filtered" water. Don't know what was more amusing, that he revealed that he had been wearing the socks since the day before when he was in Utah after Cameron took a sip, or that he emptied the sock of the other filtering material (sand, charcoal and grass) and put his wet sock and shoe back on.

New Truth Lies & Ted.

Ted talks about Bear's show and Jake's abs.

One thing he said that I haven't heard from anyone else is that Jake did two trips with Bear. I have no idea where he got that from, anyone else know?

Truth Lies & Ted

And Jake as The Bachelor, Ted? Yeah, you would accept that rose.

Florida Tom said...

The Bachelor might be good for Jake. He most definetely is looking for the perfect woman to have his childfren

Special K said...

With Ted saying he would "accept this rose" with Jake The Bachelor. Think he was implying Jake as a bachelor's bachelor.

Ewan McGregor certainly is fearless. I was most impressed after reading that interview in The Advocate.

Hey m, glad to hear about your planned trip. How exciting! You'll definitely be ready for that one, won't you?

I tell you what, if I didn't have to eat, I would not be going to the grocery store anymore. Talk about a coronary without the cholesterol.
There are just a lot of fun things not going into the cart anymore although my sister told me today that our brother goes to Dollar General and gets a few things. I will have to check them out for Cheez Its. I mean, almost $4 for a box of Cheez Its? That's totally ridiculous and I am not paying it. The cracker aisle is total robbery.

Now this is kinda funny. I was going into my local Hy-Vee this morning and I parked right next to a cart corral and there were 3, count 'em, 3 of those baby carts in there. Do you guys have those baby carts? Not the big monster carts that you put your toddlers in but the mini-carts for if you only want a few things. They're like a 1/2 cart. They're real popular here.

And I thought, now what in the heck? If you have to use a 1/2 cart, you can't carry what you have out of the store without taking outside one of those baby carts? I mean, it did look pretty silly to have 3 of those 1/2 carts in a cart corral.

But when I left the store, because I had 2 bags and then two 12-packs of pop, I had to wheel my 1/2 cart out to my car! LOLLLLL. What a duncehead. And I had to leave my little 1/2 cart in the cart corral. If that just doesn't look stupid. LOL.

And you know this how? said...

All the comment focused on was how they were (Jake and Austin) probably happy at the outcome of the legislative victory in NY.

And how would anyone possibly know how they felt about it? Stuff that takes place in your minds is not the same as reality.

all kinds of happy said...

Didn't say I knew how they felt. It's called hypothesizing/extrapolating. Jake and Austin live their lives in the closet because of the industry they work in. As a result, they have to lie constantly. Look over their shoulders. Worry about making a mistake. Have people, family and friends plant stories. Make believe they have girlfriends. Hide their child(ren). Yeah, I think I would hazard to guess that they would be happy about the New York vote. That is unless they are utterly masochists. Which I do not think they are. They are also happy for other people as well. Is it so hard to think that Jake and Austin have hearts?

Yes. I saw how Jake acted with Reese. I think he got angry as that lie went along and pretty much really wanted to shove it down people throats.
