Ohana Hele mei hoohiwahiwa

It was weekend trip for Jake who joined Maggie and other family members in Hawaii for their dad's wedding.A small wedding for family and friends, about 30 gathered in the beach to share the moment in the island spirit. Jake was one of the men who stood for his dad, casual in khakis, island shirt, and barefeet and keeping with island tradition, a lei.No word if Jake blew the conch shell during the ceremony, but he did do the shaka sign along with everyone else at the wedding for pictures.
Now it's back to work for Jake who returns to filming. His c0-star Michael was traveling too, attending Comic Con, to promote one of his movies coming out.

Pictures via PopSugar - check PopSugar for more pictures.

What beautiful photographs - especially that first one. *sigh*. Nice to have a bit of happy news.

New York Daily Mail? Pop Sugar?

For a small wedding of 30. On a beach.

Paps just happened to be walking by, I suppose.

I'm sorry, but looks to me like someone made a phone call. That kind of takes away from any beauty of the event for me. I don't have any further comment about the ceremony other than that.

The fact that they are appearing on Pop Sugar and in plentitude on IHJ with intimate moments between Jake and his father, I mean - what in the heck.

I can remember questioning Jana Kramer's wedding pictures plastered on the internet by her own husband at the time and good grief look at all them on IHJ.

I don't know. How would you like to be the former Mrs. Gyllenhaal? I'm not a fan of hers but just as a woman, I can imagine it's one thing to "hear" word from a friend about your ex-s wedding but it's another to have to see them all on the internet. Maybe it's all amicable and all fine, though.

Geez. Celebrities.

lol, what in the heck is he looking at? It must have been for a powerful fleeting moment.

All the pictures I have seen from the wedding have been from one agency, it's just a lot of media outlets picked up on the story and ran it. There didn't seem to be teams of photographers invading the private wedding. And as private as they want, it really can't happen when you are having a ceremony out in the open on a beach.

It does look like it was a very nice gathering of friends and family.

IHJ has the HQ pictures of Jake and Maggie at the wedding.

IHJ

I have no doubt, Special, but let's face it. The only reason there are so many pictures is because of Jake & Maggie. It has nothing to do with their father nor the bride.

It looks like a great occasion. For some reason, it's just not setting well with me to see so many pictures. So who was the photographer? The hired personal, official photographer of the wedding party or an internet paparazzi agency?

The answer will clue me in on how private it was intended to be.

You can see the wedding photographer taking pictures in the picture.

It was a pap agency took the pictures that the media outlets used. The wedding was out on the beach in Oahu. It looks like the pap was using a pretty long lens.

Jake looks like he had a good time. Have to laugh at how many pictures of him rubbing his shaved head.

Thought this picture was really cuteJake and the flower girl

Hey, love Elvi, Special. Guess what's on right now on HBO? The Princess Bride. You know who's in this? That guy who played a teacher in Clueless, the little short bald guy. I don't recognize anyone else, tho. I tell you what, I've never watched so much TV this entire year than I have these past 3 1/2 days or so. lol. Geez.

Enjoy Princess Bride!!!

So Jake won't bring his kids to his father's wedding. Pretty sad.

Peter and Ramona did not attend the wedding either. It was just Maggie and Jake who joined some of the Gyllenhaals. Stephen has 5-6 brothers and sisters, it looks like they came but not all the cousins and extended family.

The picture with Jake and the flower girl is adorable - I love the orchid crown in her hair. :)

prairiegirl said...

That's honestly a good, valid point.

Obviously those are other cousins in these pictures.

But since Jake's kids are also in the closet, they cannot see Grandpa be remarried. Excluded from a family event where they could be having a good time with cousins.

Boy, the closet is a great place for BT's, isn't it? Home with the nanny again due to necessity.

Not good.

prairiegirl said...

Okay, Princess Bride not for me.

I don't like the violence.

Thumbs down! lol

Special K said...

Finish watching it PG. It's all about true love.

I didn't really see many of Jake's cousins. Remember just 30 people for two families that around 15 people each side.

Except seinfeld is on!

I wasn't talking about Jake's cousins. I was talking about the small children in a few of the pictures; that made me think they could have possibly been related to BT(s). If they're related to Jake, then they're related to BT some way.

I'm really not going to be persuaded to change my mind and be ecstatic over these photos. I'm just not going to say anymore online about it. This flood of pictures on IHJ shouldn't be on IHJ, they should be in the couple's wedding album.

I'm happy to see the pictures, but it is sad that Stephen's wedding got hijacked by his famous children. If they were not there, no pictures of it would have surfaced. OK, maybe one. But not a whole bunch. But Stephen could have opted for an indoor or less open wedding. He's not naive so probably knew what to expect and he looks very happy. Jake and Maggie, yes and no. You can see the conflicting emotions on their faces when going through all the pictures. Happiness for their father, but guilt and sadness for it as it is their beloved mother who was left behind. I hope she has found some nice guys to keep company with too.

Totally agree, m.

This weather is enough to start making one pretty cranky and I can tell it is with me. We're supposed to go to Wichita this weekend to see the new family dog and man, it's even hotter down there! And the thought of driving south into that evening sun is not appealing. Your car AC just can't even combat that sun on the dash. Ugh.

Well, off to work! Another day in paradise. Didn't Phil Collins sing about that?

I had to take a peek at JJ and there's Flynn, Orlando Bloom's little boy. He is the cutest little kid - I can't get enough of seeing him. And he is a little chunk, look at his little legs. He's growing fast. That little kid is just the cutest little baby.

But notice how Miranda Kerr and Orlando have so many pap photo ops without the other. It's always her with the baby or him and the baby.

Hey Special........

my big buddy was just telling me the Royals are playing the Bosox and they won in 14 innings last night????????

Special K said...

Yes the Royals did win 3-1 after a rain delay and 14 innings that had the game going to 2am.

I need a nap.

prairiegirl said...

He said it was a really good game.

I'm betting Stephen doesn't mind having the photos seen all over the place, he's probably used to it at this point, not to mention someone had to tip the pap off about the wedding, and who is to say it wasn't one of the Gyllenhaals.

I believe Peter was in Europe late last week promoting the Green Latern, so that may be why he wasn't there. And isn't Maggie also working right now? Probably didn't want to haul Ramona all that way for just a day or two.

Special K said...

Think Ramona might have had a special couple of days with grandma and maybe her cousins. It probably was a tough weekend for Naomi, and having the kids might have been the best medicine.

Nordeste said...

I didn't want to say anything about that because I felt it wasn't my place to speculate, and every situation is unique. I've been there too! But at some point, I think we accept and wish only the best for and happiness for those we once loved enough to marry, or for our parents if they divorce. I don't think you ever not love them, and wish only the best for them.
