Come Dancing

Surfs kicking up , the rain and wind is starting in NC and Austin is now waiting for his dance partner.
Shutting down production tomorrow.
Can't wait to dance with this large woman called Irene.-Aus10

Tell her Large Marge sent ya,

but this will be no Waltzing Matilda with this storm.

What does happen when a Sasquatch dances with a Hurricane? Do you bring flowers or candy?

And the Wilmy/Wrightsville area is not messing around, volunteer evacuations, UNCWilmington closing and Wrightsville already imposing a 10pm curfew tonight. VNo one out or on the roads except emergency personnel. They expected 9-10 inches of rain before it's over.

Hey may need the boat or the board.
Or even Kenny Power's jet ski.
A smart move would be for Austin to get the heck of Dodge get away from the East Coast.

Stay or Go he has plenty to keep him busy getting ready to direct. And sure that someone will be checking in to make sure he's ok if he stays in Wilmy. Congrats Austin!

Oh and beer.

Safe Austin Friday!

While the lights of Broadway prepare to dim on Sunday for Hurricane Irene, the lights on the set of The CW’s One Tree Hill have already gone dark. The show, which shoots in Wilmington, N.C., has shut down production for Friday and Saturday. Star Sophia Bush tweeted late Thursday, “OTH production has been canceled for tomorrow. All our fans in town, please stay inside! We will not be filming. Stay safe #HurricaneIrene.” Costar Austin Nichols also announced the news to fans: “Shutting down production tomorrow. Can’t wait to dance with this large woman called Irene.” In a statement, a rep for the show says, “As a precautionary measure and in consideration of our cast and crew, One Tree Hill production has shut down for today and tomorrow due to Hurricane Irene. We will continue to monitor the situation over the next few days.”

Were you planning on meeting up with your good looking boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in the library during the storm? Well you can forget about it, honey, because the public libraries are shutting things down for the weekend.

I'm sure Jake is nice, but if this happens youtube.com/watch?v=gJn261… I'd rather @AUS10NICHOLS save me. You know, if I had to choose b/t the 2.

Do you ever get the feeling we're just watching Jake & Austin's tail lights growing dimmer....and dimmer...and dimmer?

I don't mean that they're over or anything like that, just that this is the way it's going to be for, well - maybe forever. Tiny crumbs of news...no more appearances...no outings...no photo ops allowed anymore of the two of them...Austin hardly tweets anymore ever since his grand marshal thing. I think when Jake travels now, it must be as a mole underground.

I get this vibe that they just want to be left alone now. Hmmm, life after Jaustin. And you know, I think that would be it for me as far as celeb watching. There's no one else out there who is interesting anymore. They all beard, they all con their fans. They're all cookie cutter plastic.

There's Adam, of course. But even that's not quite the same. His boyfriend doesn't do anything for me. LOLLLLLL!! I think perhaps it's because he's platinum haired. I just can't....it just doesn't....doesn't work. lol

And because there's just nothing, Jake's blogs are just literally dying like a worm in the middle of an August sidewalk. People lurk, we know that. But no one wants to actively talk or discuss anymore even about the guy. I wonder why that is.

Did he just really kill his fandom with the Tay thing? I think that has quite a bit to do with it - that was the last straw. The combination of Reeke & Tay just smashed his fandom. Is it his age now?

I mean, I wonder what did it? Because right now, there should be an aura of excitement about him. But there's not. It is just deader than a doornail.

Oh my gosh, you guys, have you seen the latest radar & stats on Irene? She's headed right towards Wilmy it looks like. Sustained winds of 100 mph and wind gusts of 120 mph.

That is just awful. They're still saying this could be an historic hurricane to hit the States in a long time.

40 mph gusts blew my flagpole off of the outside wall several months ago, I can't imagine 100 mph. You cannot be outside in that. That would blow your car over.

One of the other reasons why they said Irene was going to be so bad was because she's huge. I forget now how many hundreds of miles across she is but it is a lot.

Dest, I am so glad you are not where you would normally be.

But maybe it'll veer off a bit or at least lose some of its power. Special, I hope it's about dead by the time it reaches you.

It's a wait and see what happens up here. But the every half hour weathers updates are bit early to start this morning. Tomorrow ok, but starting at 4:30 this morning well that's something else.

With some many mentions of TDAT, between the East coast earthquake and Hurricane Irene, and tweets of people watching the movie, the Gyllennichols should be getting some residuals. Let's hope. (And they need it with all those Tiny Texans)

Glad I am out west, but worried about friends and my cats.

Got to agree with you PG about Adam and his taste in boyfriends so not being mine. But waiting until end of OTH to see what happens with Austin, though on on fence re their relationship.

They just announced a hurricane warning for MV. Pres Obama and family have already left and so have so many people from MV on the ferries. They get one more day to get off the island tomorrow until 6ish when the last ferry leaves the island.

I agree the lights are very dim when it comes to Jake and Austin. Whether they are together or not really doesn't matter anymore. They are not coming out. So many other good things are happening though. I got my hopes really high that Anderson Cooper will come out soon. That would be very exciting.

I'm not turning out the lights on Jake & Austin coming out but I see some signs of them just quietly leading their life.

Regardless, I think they are done with their fans, the ones who know they are gay and supported them. Their new fan base are the ones who believe they are straight and frankly, I think they wish we would just quietly die off.

It's one thing when I think it's just their people who want us to go away. It's another when I get the vibe they too would like for us to just go away.

I don't stay where I'm not wanted. If they want a whole new fanbase, a whole new image, a whole new era, hey - out with the old, in with the new.

It's hard to talk to a wall and I may be seeing my time on here diminishing. I've got a terrible week ahead at work as we look towards trying to get back on our feet again. Probably be working the holiday weekend as well.

It's nice to see Tom & Dest on here again last night. I just see red tail lights, though, you know?

I am enjoying a special weekend edition of Wake Up with Al, though this morning complete with my faves Al & Steph. And another new favorite, Dr. Knabb!!!! I love Dr. Knabb - I think it's his name, lol. Got everybody, Mike Seidel, cute Jeff Morrow, and hopefully the also-cute Eric Fisher.

24/7 live team coverage from the Weather Channel so I think I'll be checking it out when I get home today.

So I'm not going to be around much I don't think this week beginning with today. I'm physically & mentally exhausted and it's all I can do to drag myself into work today. Even though we're all sick of each other's faces there, I think, LOL, everyone is still hanging in, still managing to crack a joke, and other depts are pitching in to help us. So it's still a great crew and you always find out what you're made of when you're working in the trenches. I'm just trying to survive at this point, lol. Aw man, I'm just very down this morning, can you tell?

I'll talk to you all later.

I very much think Jake wants the Gay rumors to go away completely. I think his emotions turned to anger during reeke. That is why he has his buds like Adam slamming Jake's Gay fans for even thinking he is gay. It doesn't seem like Austin is as worried or angry. He just seems like he is going through the motions.

I am not angry at either anymore. They both have do do what they have to do. What I don't want to do is put all my attention into one celeb or athlete coming out. I just want to enjoy it and celebrate it when they do. I am still very interested in the dicussion but there is no more dicussion for me when it comes to Jake or Austin coming out. It would be sweet but it is not going to happen.

I think Jake is enjoying just where he is right now; not having to pretend to be in a relationship, working, and having Austin and the family.

More little steps for both of the them, and yes I do think that they will step out one day.

Love Austin's tweets, I can only imagine the kind of notes he leaves for Jake.

Went to the store. Got your organic yak milk. Sold one of the kids. Don't worry it wasn't the cute one. Not sure if we will have to pay taxes on them or not.

I view Jake as just living quietly these days . No bearding. That's a positive at least. As for fans, he really has no fan base anymore. It's quiet everywhere, not just here. Also they both have to be more discrete as the kids are getting older.

Glad to see the storm has been downgraded further . Every bit helps.

I agree Tom, Jake and Austin will never come out. Too many beards that would be burned for starters. Plus anyone that would hide a child in order to keep a straight image and to get certain film roles is someone very very deep in the closet. I have no doubt Jake would beard again if it was required for a role he really wants.

Methodical Muser said...

Well, I guess I should jump in on the “Will they, or won’t they,” question since most of the regulars have done so this morning. Jake said he was going to be the most discreet man in Hollywood in a recent interview and he is doing exactly that. While Austin pretty much told us that he was “discarding” his beard with that burning bridges tweet back in late May. For me, this means they are jointly making headway in their search for meaningful emancipation from the status quo.

Both men are out to their friends and family and certainly Hollywood is well aware of the Toothy-Grey Goose love story. Jake has admitted to being a married man and Prop 8 gave them that window of opportunity in June 2008. I believe they are continuing to raise an expanding family and are finding great joy in pursuing domesticated habits.

And, it is precisely because they have a family that I believe they will come out one day. I simply can’t imagine Jake concocting stories for the next 10 years of his life about how precious Ramona is to him, how he’s too selfish to have children, how he’s still looking for a woman of the “female” variety and never public acknowledging his own children, or, for that matter, being seen with them. I think he understands the concept that coming out is a personal decision, but that once you are responsible for little ones whom you have freely brought into this world, you no longer can just make selfish, ungenerous and money-grubbing determinations. It’s not about you anymore and I think both Jake and Austin understand that.

When Jake was honored with the Equality Award in 2006 by the HRC, he said flat out that he hadn’t earned the award yet, but that he promised that he would in the future. I choose to believe him.

A matter of trust

I believe that Jake is a happier pewrson when he is not bearding. I also think he was miserable when he was involved with reeke. Talyor was a silly two day photo shoot that turned into a romance of a lifetime for the tabs.

I think Jake will beard though again if he is told to. He certainly may not want to go back to a reeke type committment though.

I remember when he got that reward M and M. It was very special to hear him say those words. I wonder what you and my other friends will think in ten years from now if nothing has changed.
