Fall' in

They say "Paris in Springtime", but there just something about New York in Fall, and Jake.

It's also World Car Free Day and Jake is doing his part stepping out in the East Village. And his look? Well this tweet from a fashion consultant sums it up.

Jake Gyllenhall sighting on 2nd ave...look was lumberjack hitchhiker Sadly only 's back got to share in the moment.
-CommuniquePRNYC

And his foodie choice of the day it's Angelica Kitchen in the East Village, which serves up "organic plant-based cuisine". (Wonder if he indulged in one of today's dessert special like the Coconut Arborio Rice Pudding with peach compote)

No word if Austin drove to ScreenGems to be the last interviewee of the second and last of day of Media Days at OTH and do a quick scene.

Watching Sophia & Austin shooting a scene at Karen's Cafe. As always, sh*t's going down. - AndySwift
And from the looks of it Crazy Tree does sound like the best name for Season 9.

Wrapped up our 2-day interview palooza with . I'm more convinced than ever that season 9 is going to be bananas. - AndySwift
With cast already talking about weekend plans. Sounds like Austin will have a bit of a break until Monday.
Director's Photo Log. Anyone up for a quick flight? - Aus10
Now where would be a a quick flight?

Happy Fall!

What in the heck was Jake doing to little Boo's leg?? He looks like he's performing intricate surgery. For a brief moment, I thought Jake was wiping a little dingleberry from little Boo's butt. But Boo is just so little there, that at first you can't even see his little leg.

Lookit the way Jake fussed over that little dog. I don't remember seeing this picture before but I bet it comes from that same historic set where Jake and his parental unit took little Boo on his world wide tour around the city. Remember?

Boo goes to lunch, Boo is in his little crate, Boo is taken out of his little crate, Boo's little woobie is adjusted in the crate, Boo's little woobie is taken out of the crate, Boo is cuddled at the table, Boo is cooed at and petted by Aunt Maggie, Boo is carried by Jake, he's carried by Grandma Foner....little Boo was just the apple of his daddy's eye. He was the IT dog, Best in Show.

But now? The Mysterious Disappearance of little Boo Radley Gyllenhaal is ancient folklore. Theories and opinions abound about what happened to little Boo. Why, it's one of the biggest canine unsolved mysteries of our time.

I beg of the American Public - please call the TIPS Hotline for any details on the whereabouts of this little precious canine cargo. Watch for his picture on a bag of Greenies at your nearest pet store.

And please don't say he is now in a little tin on Jake's fireplace mantel.

LOLLLLLLLLL!! Oh yeah, it is from that classic montage set of Boo in New York City. ♪♫ ooh waa ooh waa, cool cool kitty, tell us about the Boo from New York City!!! oooh wah oooh wah c'mon kitty, tell us about the Boo from New York City♫♪

LOLLLLLL!!!! There's his little crate and I think you can see his little woobie in there; it's blue.

You ever notice something? Everything with Jake always looks brand new. Every time he wears athletic shoes, they look spotless right out of the box. The inside of the Q7 looks like it just came out of the showroom. And that little crate is totally scuff-free and shiny as a dime. Even little Boo looks Downy soft and clean, lookit his little behind - just perfect.

And Jake? He was in his prime there, wasn't he? So many of today's pictures, he was just hot as lava.

As you can tell from the changed avatar, guess where I'm headed this weekend?! Yup, got the official go-ahead and stamped approval from the Grand Poobah's. Because let me tell you, otherwise I would've been working this weekend - yes, both Saturday and Sunday. But everyone's being really cool and letting me go; they're going to cover for me.

See, my nephew is marching and playing baritone in his very first parade. It's a big moment!!! I didn't want to miss it for the world.

Wow, love this song. I've heard two Neil Young songs this year and really like them both.

Today's pictures are of Jake through the years during fall in NY. Back from 2002 to last year. There are just a couple of years he didn't make it to NY .

There is something about fall in the city, the crisp air, the color of the leaves bringing a new hue to the palette of building reds, greys, andblues, last of bits of the long light lingering and making the brick buildings glow, and the cool of the weekend mornings.

Glad you're going to get a weekend off and see your nephew perform PG.

I had to put up the picture of Jake wiping off Boo's little back paw. And the picture of Jake in the white t-shirt back in 06 has to be one of my favorite pics of Jake.

Thanks, Dest! It is a long time coming. I may even skip the Wichita farmers market on Sat morning and sleep in just a wee bit, just to lie around for the heck of it.

I had to put up the picture of Jake wiping off Boo's little back paw.

Well, what in the heck is he wiping off there? Little Boo's little paws look as pristine as his little behind. There's no dirt there. There's no dirt anywhere! lol, Dr. Seuss have a sentence to follow that? LOLLLL

And Boo is just laying there in his Grandma's arms, looking all calm and ho-hum.

Well, guess I better finish getting the rest of my things together for the trip. My nephew is marching in a small town parade at a fall festival. They're growing up too fast - somebody stop it!!!

The description of Jake's "look was lumberjack hitchhiker" has my mind spinning with the possibilities of combos. :D
And then it makes me think of Austin's look in his rubber boots as "wandering weatherman" or "fisherman in search of a boat".

Hey, and it sounds like Austin's turn in the director's chair could not have come at a better time. That is fantastic that the media was around - what incredible timing. I'm very happy for him - hope he enjoys his weekend.

Forgot this. We've had something smelly in the office refrigerator now for several days. It finally came to a head yesterday when other people were opening the door and wrinkling their faces. This morning, there was a can of Febreze sitting on the counter next to the refrigerator - like a big hint.

So it turns out that it was either the BB's leftovers that had been in there all week or it was the night time whse supervisor's lunch remains which turned out to be unidentifiable. And everyone knew whose leftovers they were but no one said anything to the known owner.

But that smell was permeating the entire office. It was growing and beginning to take on a life of its own. That can of Febreze sitting next to the fridge on the counter - that's pretty bad. lol. Anyway, the office fridge got a real cleaning out today and many long-expired food items were thus tossed out. It was just so funny - it stunk so bad but no one could identify the source and no one wanted to dig around in there and locate it - like there was something alive in there. lol

Bravo for today's post and the musical selection. It really created a nice mood. And Jake and Austin are a matched set for sure.

Just found out I have to travel on business part of next week. Not far, but a bummer since I am behind in work given the vacation. And my work mate heads to Paris himself in two weeks so I will be doing double duty again to boot.

Jake seemed awfully attached to Boo. I suspect his loss is too painful for him to talk about. Must have been sudden and unexpected.
