Owe'd them one?

Will Prisoners beat Enemy to the screen?

Even though Prisoners is still shooting it has a release date of Sept 20th.  With such a large cast and less than six months to cut and edit the entire film it will probably down to the wire to get this one finished and out to the theaters.

The location of the story has bounced between Boston and Brockton MA and while not completely interchangeable the general feeling of the movie looks like working class Massachusetts.  But here's the question you've gotta ask, with Massachusetts have such tax incentives and on average has more than a dozen movie and tv projects a year.  Why not MASS?

Is doesn't make a lot of sense, why to shoot it in Atlanta except that director Denis Villeneuve was committed to making a movie for the studios for 2013 and had to work it in one way or another.

Here's the semi-official storyline.

"How far would you go to protect your child? Keller Dover (Jackman) is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. His six-year-old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki (Jake) arrests its driver, Alex Jones (Paul Dano), but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release.

Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, he may lose himself, begging the question: When do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?"

It is snowin' and it's blowin' and it's snowin' and it's blowin'. It is nuts out there right now. I'm so glad I'm at home!!! No way I'm driving in that.

It's a play day. and then it will become a big payback day tomorrow because we will pay for this day off. lol. Not looking forward to the next several days at all. Oh well, no need to fret about what's not even here yet.

Since I can't get online at work anymore except during my lunch hour and that's on my phone no less, it's a great time to take advantage of playtime and share a little told-you-so. This kind of stuff drives PR to biting nails.

Boy, the Hamptons sure know how to stop a thread dead in its tracks.

Shoo! Be gone, Long Island!! No one knows how to react to you.

Well, I still don't know what we got officially for snow total. I've heard 8 inches, then 11. Whatever it is, it's huge out there. I know I'm not making it into work in the morning, perhaps later in the day, not sure yet.

Well Jake having a place in the Hamptons would make sense of his new found friendship with Jerry Seinfeld and his family, the pre-screening of End of Watch there, and even him representing LI at the 12-12-12 concert.

I never saw anyone explain how Jake came to be such good friends with Jerry S. and no, don't tell me it was through Gwyneth Paltrow. I doubt Jake needs people to set him up with guy friends as well.

Hey, check this out, this is cute. I hope she never finds out that Jake is ashamed of his PoP role.

From FB Open Search:

Jodi Shannahan
I forgot to explain the origin of our baby boy's name yesterday. His name comes from the movie "Prince of Persia" with Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake plays the Prince of Persia, whose name is Dastan. Ed and I watched this movie right after we had Ameera and we said "oh, if we would've had a boy, Dastan would have been a cool name." Then, close to 2 years later, we found out we were pregnant, again. Once we got the word it was a boy, we had our name - Dastan - and he is definitely our prince! :)
