Happy Birthday Austin!!

Hey there Big Guy -

 Happy Birthday!!!

Another year down and another year ahead.

You are making the 30's looking pretty dang good.

and lil bit goofy

It's been a year of some big highs

And some life changing lows

But you know that you are loved by those who love you - your family and friends.

“The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn't any other test. If the machine produces tranquility it's right. If it disturbs you it's wrong until either the machine or your mind is changed.”

..... and it's not about the bike.

And one more Happy for the day.

Happy Passover

Not sure where Jake's looking for that afikoman

Boston or somewhere that rhymes with it?

Fever Pitch Strong

Over the years we've seen Jake's Red Sox fan boy pop up.

Today Jake got to do what very few ever get to do.  Throw out the first pitch at Fenway Park.  And to throw it out on Patriot's Day no less.

Jake's been working on Stronger, the story of  Jeff Bauman, who's life was changed from the marathon bombing.  Not only is Jake acting and producing Stronger, he's also getting involved with the Boston community and marathon survivors.

Jake and  Jeff were honorary captains of today's marathon runners for Boston Medical Center where Jeff got his care and recovery.  Last night Jake and Jeff joined the dinner's host former Patriot player Jerod Mayo, Mayor Marty Walsh and Boston Police Commissioner William Evans at the team's pre-race carbo load dinner.   Today the BMC team of 90 runners has raised more than $638,000 toward their $750,000 goal.

Jake and Jeff both threw out the first pitch today, and it was filmed for the movie as well.

After getting some tips from Big Papi and Blake Holt they went out to the mound.

Little girl in Jake's arms is Jeff's daughter Nora.

Jeff and Jake threw the first pitch to players Haley Ramirez and Big Papi David Ortiz respectively.

Jake definitely knows how to handle the baby,  but a baseball?  Well, if you want to see if Jake can bring the heat over the plate check it out here.

If you notice - Jake wore a Boston jersey and Jeff a Red Sox jersey.  For today - it's all about Boston Strong and all the Sox players wore Boston on their chest.

Jake gets to keep the ball, and his personalize jersey.

So Jake you call yourself a Boston fan - and you've thrown out the first pitch at Fenway- it's time to ditch this one - once and for all.

For many they think this day is Boston is all about this line.

But for Boston there is a new line that is even more important.

Blister in the Sun

Austin  tweeted a family portrait yesterday

TWD  family portrait

#TWDFamily

And followed it up with a close up just in case you missed it.

But upon closer inspection... Rosita who?

A little background on the handsy fella.  Josh McDermitt plays Eugene Porter who he claims to be a scientist who knows the cure to the zombie plague

OMG is thinking there were some other tweets Austin tried before he settled on that one.

Top Ten Rejected Tweets for Austin's TWD family close up

10. This is good, but my Laker lean is better.

9.  I thought the Professor on Gilligan's Island was the hot one too.

8.  humming ..."big hands I know you're the one"

7.  The whole thing with Rosita was just to get you Eugene.

6. It's that banjo's I hear?

5.  Is Josh confusing me with the other Austin?

4.  Who can resist a man with a mullet?

3.  Just going to tell management I was taking his hand off my knee when the
paparazziset photographer snapped the picture.

2. I'm giddy that finally someone makes my hands look so petite!

and the number on tweet idea that got rejected:

Which will Jake notice first me wearing his chain or  Josh's hand on my knee?

Rules of Engagement

A housekeeping note:

For a while now we've had to keep the blog on moderation, and there's no real fun in that for anyone.  It cuts down on the interaction, things need to be released (and we try to release them as soon as they come in the queue) and it slows things down.

When OMG started we let everyone come and comment and said all we wanted is them to give themselves a name be it for a post, a day, a week or forever.  We need to amend this a bit so we can go back to have open interaction like we did

We are asking that you use a Google account to now post.  Many of you already have a Google/Blogger ID so it will be no difference for you.  For others it will just take a few minutes to set up a Google/Blogger ID.

Thanks!

Demo'd

It's been a while since Jake filmed Demolition but it's that time again, another release, and Jake's been doing press for the movie for the past few weeks.

Demolition premiere last fall at the Toronto International Film Festival and got great reviews.  The movie seems to bring Jake back to what he does well,  not the flawed character that he tends to lean toward, but another movie that is just outside the line of mainstream.

Great to see back to what he seems to love to do, and he seems to look like he is back to that great Jake in interviews.

And even better back to see this guy with this fella in not only the same state, the same city but in the same dang space.

Talk about breaking it down and going back to the beginning.

And as for that Texas size temptation -  he's done some "Walking" in Denver this weekend.
